"Unfortunately although the communication was good there prices were extremely high. Owner was a great communicator but as soon as he realised I wanted to go outside if the city limits the fare doubled and wanted to charge $150 to Hilton Head Island Airport. A Lyft ride cost $47. I would recommend for local journeys only."

"Leroy was our driver to get us to the Amtrak station for our return train ride back home. We had used another cab company when we arrived and had no problem at all (fare was $20 plus we gave him a tip of $5). But they were not available and we were told to contact Eastside. Leroy communicated very well via text. He arrived a few minutes early but then never got out of the car. When he arrived, I went to the car and told him that my luggage was at the trunk and he said that he would pop the trunk and then never exited the car. There were four of us (all around 70 years of age and older) then when we arrived at the train station, he never got out to help at all!! That is crazy....no one should have to load and unload their luggage. Then on top of not helping with the luggage, his fare rate was $35. Definitely, would not ever use this taxi service again and will not recommend them either!!"

"East Side Taxi really helped my large family out while staying on Tybee when I had exhausted all other transportation options! I arranged a drop of in Savannah for a tour, a pick up back to Tybee at the end of the night and he even picked us up the next morning to get our car from the shop. Not only was he willing to come out to Tybee, he was able to safely accommodate my 5 kids and car seat. Thank you!!!"

"Was referred to Leroy by another cab company that could not accompany us for an early morning flight. Leroy confirmed that he could pick us up over the phone and 2 times over text message. He never showed up, and did not answer calls or texts. It really left us in a bad position as it was 6am and there were no Uber’s or lyfts readily available. We ended up securing an Uber 30 minutes later after 3 failed attempts. After being referred to Leroy, we were incredibly disappointed that he did not show without any warning. We would not recommend using this company."

Leroy arrived early for our 6:30am pick up (we had a flight to catch) and called to let us know he was there and to take our time. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH TAXIS ON THE ISLAND, YOU WILL GET THE BEST SERVICE FROM EAST SIDE TAXI!"
