"Questionable billing ethics - and this statement came from another lawyer I spoke to about the things I was being billed for based off the circumstances and particulars of my case. I have countless examples of billed hours that weren’t necessary. I’m in the ballpark of $7,000 in legal fees paid to this firm and myself and my attorney have never even seen the inside of a courtroom together. I had one face to face meeting with my counsel and the rest of the work done (which wasn’t very much at all) was clerical. I was billed a ton of money for “strategy sessions” and “analytical time” when there is basically no strategy to my case. It’s a custody/child support case where the plaintiff and myself have had an agreement in place that we both wish to become the permanent order. There will be no court hearing. There will be no GAL. There will be no need for mediation. There will be no subpoenas. There will be no witnesses. I asked about what they were strategizing in a case that requires no strategy and the explanation I received was “we work as a team”. They are bill-padding and it’s obvious in my case. I would never recommend anyone to use this firm."
