Duane Reade Pharmacy

"WARNING!!! Do not at all cost send your medications to this pharmacy. I was told that I should wait 15 to 20 minutes for my medication and they would call my name when it was ready. I then waited for 40 minutes for my medication, finally was fed up and went up to the counter to ask if my medication was ready. The girl then gave me a bewildered look and said oh shoot. She then printed out a piece of paper and handed it to one of the other pharmacy staff, said here’s one that I forgot to print out that I was supposed to give to you. Then came back to me with a straight face asking what I needed help with again pretending nothing happened. Then said oh yeah! and deadpan said I would need to wait another 10 to 15 minutes for my medication. when I asked her if she could expedite the request since I had already waited 40 minutes she did not even admit her mistake and told me that was normal to wait this long. I saw other customers who came after me all get their medication already. When I brought this up she said oh no they have been waiting even longer than you. Basically saying they waited >40 min. This completely unacceptable behavior. Very unprofessional. They seem very disorganized and hectic."

"This Pharmacy sucks so much, this manager like person is so rude to everyone, if it's not for the location, I wouldn't be here the 1st place, going forward, I will never come here again."

"They didn’t want to sell me a beer just because my ID is from another country. I’m 26 years old. It’s completely legal. The manager said it was because my ID “was expired” when the date she was looking at was the issued date, not the expiration date. Unbelievable."

"Bad Customer service, went in store for a pickup order. They said they don't have the order i'm looking for, but i found the same one just different flavor with the same price tag, they wouldn't replace and made it very complicated. I'm sure on pickup orders, they can replace with similar items. Those were candies for kids in school for Valentines treat."

"My family experienced an extremely long wait for booster shot today, despite of no one else is waiting to get vaccinated. Waited over half hour past appointment time to receive the shot. The nurse who gave the vaccination shot has a bad attitude - didn’t even bother to tell us to wait 15 mins for observation purpose. Customer service training is certainly needed."
