"This WAS a nice little nature walk but what is up with this town not repairing the boardwalks that were damaged over three years ago with the tornadoes in April of 2020?????? The bigwigs in town want to brag about the sanctuary but it would help if it was usable and not in such disrepair! You can't brag on something you can't use!!!!"
"What a Beautiful place just minutes from downtown. This special place takes you away from all the hustle and bustle that life throws at you. A must visit!"
"I say 4 stars only because the walking trails were very short! From one end of the trail all the way to the Ivanhoe / 17A access point and back was 3mi max. The trails are well maintained, although the boardwalks can be a little slippery from algae / humidity. Most of the trail is paved. I can’t see canoeing here being enjoyable but I may have missed something. No bathrooms!!"
"We visited April sixth 2022. Partly cloudy, very breezy and about eighty degrees. We walked the nice of very old boardwalk. Saw the usual swamp trees, some flowers, a small flock of white ibis and millions and millions of eastern tent caterpillars. No! There were way more that a person could count. I've been a field biologist for the Florida park service for thirty years and never saw anything like this. They were everywhere on the boardwalk railings. They were off course falling out of the trees and then they tried to climb back up but they got stuck on the railings and couldn't figure out how to get off. You'll maybe never see them when your visiting but it was amazing and a bit creepy."
"This is a great park with a great mixture of nature. You have wooden bridge, gravel, cement, and lots of birds animals and critters of all kinds. You'll have a blast walking through here. Lots of shade thanks to all the beautiful trees kid friendly Park"
