"Driving to NC from Fl and needed a place off 95 to buy a white poster board, stopped by Dollar General 1st, they only had black, drove down to this store next and discovered that they are not open, despite the sign saying they opened at 9. Stack of newspapers dropped off at front door and the handle on the right door is literally hanging off. To it's defense, this entire street looks like the place time forgot, my heart goes out to anyone that lives here."

"My husband and I were in Family Dollar in Hardeeville SC #9222 on Tuesday January 18, 2022. We bought a pair a electric hair clippers. The sign on the self said $18 but when it was rung up at the register it was $21. My husband pointed out the discrepancy and went back to the shelf, he took a picture of the sign and showed the cashier, who identified herself as the store manager. She said that although that is the correct product it was an old price because the date on the tag was wrong. My husband said that it is false advertising to have the wrong prices on the labels. She called my husband ignorant. He told her that it isn't his fault the price is wrong it is her fault as the manager to change the prices. The argument became quite heated after that, ending with her telling him she would call the police and he told her he would report her to the corporate office. He then asked her name and she refused to tell him, she wasn't wearing a nametag."

"This store is far the worst experience I ever had. I tried to make a return and the cashier who also said she was the “manger” told me there was no refunds or exchanges. Even though when I bought the item 2 days ago I had my receipt and when I purchased they also told me I could return it. This lady is saying that all the employees who worked there 2 days ago aren’t working there anymore also saying they shouldn’t of told me that I could make refunds or exchanges. I suggested she puts a sign saying there is no refunds/exchanges for customers to know next time. She got so mad and aggressive screaming at me with vulgar language yelling not to tell her what to do in her store. This is super bad customer service they have a mess. Boxes all over the store and a lot of expired products such as moldy bread on the floor."

"I have yet to encounter a pleasant trip at this location!! This store is never clean and the shipment boxes prohibit you from an enjoyable shopping experience!! I only gave 1 star because there is no thumbs down button!! For this location to be near an interstate, they've definitely missed the mark!! Poor job family dollar"

First I would like to let Melissa know to keep up her wonderful work and she's very polite and helpful. She's a real professional with her work. She conversation with her customers and she always make sure everyone found what they wanted. All stores need an Employee with the attitude and enthusiasm like Melissa has. You do a terrific job and I like that. Thumbs up for Melissa."
