"Pleasant driver and appreciate the ride but was disappointed in the pricing for service. I live 31 miles from my business office and was told the service is charged by the mile, which is fine, but upon entrance of the vehicle I was told there is also a dropping fee on top of the deposit I already made and I noticed the driver had a meter. I really didn’t understand that when it was told to me price was based on the miles between pick up and drop off location. The “dropping fee” threw me off and wasn’t given a full understanding when I’m already paying for a pick up and drop off. Driver took the wrong route twice with the meter reaching $120 once arriving to destination. While getting close to destination I asked would the fare be the original cost of $86 minus the deposit already given because with the meter running and the driver having made wrong turns, this kept the meter running spending more TIME in the vehicle and adding more MILES to the trip. The driver seemed to not understand what I was trying to explain about the cost of the trip based on our conversation over the phone prior to pick up. Although the driver DID take off $20, I do feel as though the “dropping fee” and the meter should be made aware to a customer prior to service. I’m a New York native, have only lived here less than 2 years and fully aware and very familiar in how transportation service works, as well as metered taxis, as someone whose family runs a transportation service where we charge solely by the mile. I do appreciate the driver getting my cousin and I home safely just stating a few things that could be discouraging to customer using this service without having all information prior to pick up. When asked the price a simple “it’s meter ran” and there’s a “dropping fee” would suffice."
