Reviews of Goodyear Auto Service
"I wish I had read the previous post from “R4ptorBunny” about this Goodyear store. From my experience too, they milk money out of you when you come in for one simple repair. In my case, I brought my family member’s car in for an oil leak splatter. On that day they called me to state that the car was “dripping pools of oil” (not splatter) and he man-explained the cause of the “drip.” (Even though the oil on our garage floor was in a splatter and was possibly due to the oil ring needing to be changed). They gave us a price for the repair and said they would proceed with the repair. Before I could pick up the car, the guy called again and said he see another problem and if I wanted the oil leak fully repaired then I would have to pay more money. I was assured that with this extra money they could completely fix it. We paid the entire amount and picked up the car. Within a 2 week period I notice the same oil splatter back on the garage floor. We cleaned it up and decided to put paper towel under this same area in order to be sure that the oil was yet leaking and by how much. The same splattered continue, so I called to make another appointment for this same problem. After taking my car in again for the same problem, I later get a call stating that the oil problem is now from a different source, and I would now need to pay more money for the repair. Then the guy adds a second problem and tells me that I could get that repaired also with even more money. Even though I am aware that I will be paying for the same oil problem twice, I make an attempt to be fair with him and ask that he go ahead and fix this extra problem that they found and not charge for the oil problem as this is the second time, I brought this car in for the same thing. When deep down I know I was being milked and had given them money for something that was never repaired in the first place. He gets snippy with me and gives me the old song and dance of “I got employees I got to pay and I can’t just give free service.” Well, this is where I drew the line, despite his not taking responsibility for work they did not do, he then insults me to insinuate that I am trying to get free service. Free? No, I only want what I paid for. When I look at my first bill, I also notice that they charged me for a tune-up on the car, which I did not ask for. Only the oil leak problem. When I call later to get the matter resolved, they then twist things around to state that I said the first so-called repair cause the problem for the second oil leak. I never said that. They then blamed it on the car and stated that the car is old and that it makes sense that it would continue to have the same problem after a repair. But in the same area within a 2 week period? That’s just too much of a coincident and too convenient for them. They advise that I take the car to another “Goodyear” for a confirmation of the other store. Really? Who’s going to pay for my gas to do this and who is going to cover me from work while I take time to do this? So, I have this same oil leak in the same place that I have paid Hundreds of Dollars for and a tune up that I did not ask for. I was told that someone (supervisor?) would call me to go over the matter again. At this time, I have not gotten that call. For those that read this, don’t say you have not been worn. I am not just some bitter customer, as with you, I work hard for my money and deserve to get what I paid for. I now have to find another auto repair to fix the oil problem that I paid Goodyear (hundreds of dollars) to do."
"This was my first time visiting. I've been a loyal customer for 16 years at another tire company. Brian, and the employees at this establishment made my day so much better. Let's just say I'm totally locked in to Goodyear now!"
"Easy appointment, work done efficiently, price very competitive. Much better than going to a dealership for routine maintenance and repair."
"I'm sure they probably do tires well. As for any other work on your car, I wouldn't recommend them. My car has been back there multiple times for an overheating issue and it's still not fixed after 4 or 5 visits (first they say it's the hoses, then it's the water pump, then it's the hoses that they supposedly fixed the first time....lather, rinse, repeat) I also had them replace control arms on my car for a creaking noise, and had to return twice because they apparently didn't tighten everything and it was creaking and popping and making noises while driving as parts shifted around (which it is now doing again). I will never take any of my cars back here, especially after maxing out my Goodyear card JUST for them to not fix any of my issues. Wasted time and $$$$$!"
"We had an excellent experience when we had a flat tire on a Saturday morning. Over the phone and then in person, Joy was helpful and clear about our options to repair the tire or replace the pair of tires on our Jeep. She explained the options and gave a recommendation without being pushy. We decided to replace the pair of tires and the staff got the work done quickly so we got our vehicle back by the end of the day. Based on this experience, we’ll definitely return for tires in the future. Thank you for such good help!"
