"They were in charge of our side trips on our river cruise but several times we arrived at places where there were issues. For example, not enough tickets had been purchased for all in our group, not enough time for all in our group to go through an exhibit, leader walked too quickly through a cathedral once where we lost 2 and waited outside for a long time for them to be found only to give up in the end and that meant we were late to our next tour which had to be cut short. While I realize it can be difficult to control groups, too often situations seemed to get quickly out of hand. There are two stars only because one of their tour guides was super nice and really tried hard. Sadly, she said she was quitting at the end of our tour."

"Be careful giving them money. I paid 27 thousand for an 80th birthday trip. They cancelled the trip due to Covid. Somehow I managed to get 21 thousand back from American Express. They say I have the 6 thousand as a credit but I can no longer travel and they have kept my money for three years. They are not an honest company. Now in 2023 I want to say that after this review was posted I did receive the remainder of my deposit. Therefore I am no longer placing them at one star but at 3 stars."

"A few days ago I returned from my seventh trip managed by Academic Arrangements. I have been traveling with them periodically for twenty years and each trip is a delight in its own way. This time we sailed on the four-masted classic yacht Sea Cloud in the Aegean Sea. The tour, sponsored by the Met--with their curator of Greek and Roman antiquities as our lecturer--provided exclusive access to all sorts of people and places that would be unavailable to us had we traveled on our own, ranging from a reception with the US Ambassador to Greece to guided tours of museums by the director or curator to archaeological site visits led by the archaeologists that uncovered them. One of the joys of traveling with AA is that we knew that as soon as we put ourselves in their hands in Athens, we could just relax with the confidence that they would take care of all of the details. We were not disappointed. Their two staff members that traveled with us ensured that every need of our thirty person group was satisfied. And, of course, I cannot say enough about the pleasure of sailing on a small, elegant, vessel such as the Sea Cloud or its sister ship, Sea Cloud II. We love them both, hate to disembark and look forward to sailing again before too long. It is a step back in time to an experience that was available to only a very select few. One feels very spoiled."

"We were delighted with the work of Academic Arrangements Abroad to plan, prepare us, and shepherd 100 of us on the Yale Alumni Service Corps trip to Cuba.
