Reviews of Wallkill River Small Arms
"Owner and dog are both very pleasant. Shop is clean and has a good variety for the size. Knowledgable and helpful."
"Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, honest, good prices. I would purchase from him again and recommend to others. Great person."
"Don't go here. Frank has a lack of knowledge on removable and non removable parts and what to use. Then tries blaming you for his screw up and tries to charge you for his screw up. If you want a shop that has everything you want and knowledgeable people to ask questions go to COLLECTOR ARMS in Hopewell Junction. Frank thank you for giving me the opportunity to let everyone know how much of a dirt ball you really are. Frank is the Owner of this establishment. Frank has personally texted me trying to bash me. Frank I purchased a Glock from you. I asked you to send the slide out to get milled and to have a RMR installed. Everything was bought through Frank at top price cause "I have to make money also". Milled Slide, Trijicon RMR, Trijicon Suppressor Sights. Also had him cerakote it. I took my pistol out of the safe and noticed the RMR was dead. I went to replace the battery but i couldn't cause FRANK USED RED LOCTITE to install the RMR. I didn't want to go back to Frank so I took it to the Thruway to get looked at. The guys there looked at it. Saw Red Loctite on it and asked me if I did it or if someone local did. I told them that it was local and their response was "Frank"? They then recommended I go back to him. I waited for the next time he was open to drop it off. No issues. I go to pick up 2 days later and as soon as I walk in I was told to move my car cause his tenant will be home and i need to move it right then. I moved my car and waited for Frank to finish with his other customer. Placed my slide on the counter. Told me it was $40. I grabbed out the money put it on the counter. That is when Frank questioned me about going to another store and accused me of using the red loctite. Frank you were the one who did the work and used a PERMANT loctite for a sight that needs to be removed when the battery dies. Frank accused me of stripping the screws when I didn't. Frank if you would like part of your torx bit that you broke off in the screw you could have it back. Frank if you wanted the $40 you should have kept it instead of throwing it back at me. Frank I wouldn't consider your screw up as me asking for a freebee. I was simply asking for you to correct your mistake. Like I said above your lack of knowledge and your accusation on here show exactly the type of person you are and the reason so many people have stopped going to you."
"When I was in the market for my first hand gun Frank was extremely great to work with. He found exactly what I wanted and the price was the best part. Extremely pleased and looking forward to my next purchase . Three years still my go to, extremely knowledgeable never a bad experience happy with all our purchases"
"I need to share to the opinion of the poster below me. I went to Frank as a new rifle purchaser. NEW SHOOTERS, GO SOME WHERE ELSE. YOU WILL PAY 25-30% newbie tax. Shown no respect, be seen as a cash register. I wanted to support a local business. First rifle I brought, I was screwed, second, I was screwed harder. Glad my time is worth more then the several hundred dollars over retail I paid on the rifles. Frank did not even take the time to confirm my 2nd rifle was properly functional. No (I was busy) excuses, there was nobody in the building."
