Rarely do you deal with a financial institution and walk away thinking, "wow that was really great customer service." Doesn't hurt that they offer really good rates too. "This place either had a data breach, or they are selling my info. See attached. I had a boat loan with them years ago. I paid it off and closed my account. 2 years later I'm receiving offers in the mail "for members of sjp credit union" for insurance and other nonsense. The first time I called them and made mention, the girl said "I thought we had stopped that - I'll put a note in your account and make sure it doesn't happen again." 6 months later I get 2 more (attached). I called again, mentioned to the person on the phone who denied that they sell my info (how else would Liberty Mutual end up knowing I was a member here at one point?). She sent me to the voicemail of the CEO. I left a message with him, saying the same thing. I never heard back. I wanted a boat, not to have my data sold (or breached?). I closed my account, but apparently I'm still being sold. I would suggest going elsewhere for a loan."

"Had a boat loan with them for 8 months and paid it off perfectly as with all my accounts. Applied for another loan, lower amount and got a declination letter stating I had derogatories and or foreclosures on my report. Got alarmed because my credit payment history is flawless and had to pay for all 3 reports and scores to make sure there wasn't any and there wasn't. I don't know whose report they were pulling but mine is free from any of those, all 3. Perfect payment history, free from public records of any type of derogatories. That's crazy!!!! Gonna call them tomorrow to see whose report they pulled. It wasn't mine. However 8 months prior when they gave me a boat loan that I paid off in 8 months they were great. No other issues but them declining repeat customers with inaccurate information. Update, since my last review they have worked with me to finance an RV, so they got back in my good Grace's."

"SJP is awesome! I refinanced a car loan with this place.. They took my 48 month loan at $400 and reduced it by more than a $100 and for 36 months, was paying the highest 24% interest and SJP lowered that to 11%! I recommend this credit union to all! The staff are all friendly and pleasant to do business with!"
