"I found Gordon’s Roofing Repair Service from google. I decided to call them due to the perfect review and customer service I saw on google. But I had a completely different experience with them. I have 2 leaks from the roof that needs to be fix. When I called, the first thing they say is there will be a $49.00 fee for a visit quote which is fine by me. But when their tech Eli came to give me a quote, he doesn’t even have a ladder tall enough for a 2 story house. He came in and I showed him where the leak is and he went across the street and say he sees where is the problem. He quoted 2 sky light and 2 vent needs to be redo for $770.00 and claims that I have a 2x2 area that needs to be repair shingles $375.00. He also suggested me to remove the 4 old satellite that is no longer in use and quoted me 400 at first and discounted me 255 for all 4. I asked why so expensive to just unscrew them, and he said there is a fee to trash the satellite and he will need to patch after it is taking off. The whole total came out to 1400.00. Once we agreed on the price they came the following day and as you can see on the pictures, all they did is bought a bucket of Karnak and reseal the Flashing without changing out 1 piece of shingles. On top of that, the patching they claim they need to do for the satellite is also just using the same bucket of Karnak. I’ve asked him, what about the 2x2 area he said that needs shingle repair. He said after they went up there, they say they are 100% sure all the leaks are coming from the skylight. But they charged me 375.00 for that even though they did not do anything on that 2x2 space. I let it go since they help me readjust my gutter for me. I was remote working when they visit, so didn’t get to go out can check. They left a bunch of cables from the satellite all over the floor and some still hanging from the roof. I’ve already knew this is a bad sign. A month later the bathroom sky light is still leaking. I’ve called the technician direct cell phone that he texted and called me with. But now suddenly, it became like there office number with someone answering like a service desk. They said they will open a ticket for the technician Eli 4/16/2021 Friday and I should get a call back from him in 20 minutes. The whole weekend pass, I didn’t hear from them. Then I called and Monday 4/19/2021 same service desk guy say they will email their manager and have him call me? Still no call back. Then I tried calling the office number, instead of the cell phone and a lady pick up and say she sees the ticket and will email the manager again. It’s 5/3/2021 now and I still didn’t get any return call from them. They were quick when I call them for a quote the first time. But after you paid, they are not responding to me at all even all though all they must at least do is come back with the same bucket to try to seal it back for me. One of the pictures also show an opening on the shingles. I am so upset on how they treat a paid customer. I will repost this on East Meadow Facebook community and Nassau County. People should not have to deal with bad roofers like this after paying so much for it."
