Reviews of iFixScreens Greenwich Village
"2nd time i came here to get my daughter’s iPad fixed. Very professional. These people know what they’re doing. They’re not cheap but you’ll get what you pay for. Will be back"
"Leon did what I thought was going to be an impossible job in just two days. Have never had customer service that great or worked with someone so eager to take on a challenge! Cannot recommend Leon and iFixScreens enough--will definitely be coming back for any and all future repairs."
"Needed a broken rear screen on iPhone 10xs. Some ships won’t even fix rear glass. IfixScreens had glass in shop and did repair quickly at a fair price. I have a very positive recommendation for this store when you need one."
"Edward was super friendly and quick to replace my iPhone 12 Pro screen. Using an OEM part it came out to $225 ($199 + tax, and then plus 3.75% credit card surcharge). He also threw in a screen protector for free. Honestly though, I still kind of(?) regret getting a 3rd party screen replacement. The downsides, some of which Edward explained upfront, are more significant than I appreciated, and I wish I had just paid an extra $80 to apple just so that I didn't have to deal with them. Sharing them here so that others can make the decisions themselves. The downsides include: 1. The phone displays a warning on startup each time about the display being unrecognizable. (Edward pre-warned me about this, and this is ok with me) 2. There's now a *persistent red badge* on the settings app, and when I go in, it says "important display message", warning that the display isn't recognized by the OS. Apparently there's no way to get rid of this warning and also *no way to get rid of the red badge from the home screen*. (I did not know about this red badge before) 3. The screen lost its "true tone" functionality, which means the screen color is constantly a lot more intense with higher contrast and saturation, while before it tried to match the ambient light a little better. (I noticed the color difference immediately after the replacement, but did not understood the cause until later) The root issue here is that the original screen had a chip inside that needed to be transferred to the new screen for the new screen to be recognizable as an OEM part. And that transplant process is very difficult / not something the store offers. It sounded like 2 and 3 are just fundamental problems with any non-Apple-certified screen replacements. It's up to the customer to decide whether they're worth the ~$80 of savings (Apple's quote for a same day screen replacement is $279+tax) and some time saving (after all, Edward was VERY FAST)."
"Eddie gave a very friendly service and tried very hard to diagnose and fix our phone in a short time window while we were away on holiday in NYC over Labor Day weekend. Although he was unsuccessful (due to our short trip length), we really appreciated the open communication throughout his investigation and his offer of no charge despite the time and effort he had clearly put in to helping us."
