"I had a fancy INTEL NUC that gave me nothing but trouble. I would turn it on it had little to do but monitor some APPS for my radio work and it would freeze. Over and Over and Over again. So I took it to NY Computer, 10 blocks from my office and they fixed. In fact they had to change out the motherboard that was always bad. So all is well and I have a working computer. I am thrilled. They burned it in for me for days and no more freezing up."
"I had trouble with my motherboard not starting. I explained that nothing turned on when I pressed the power button on the motherboard. They took it and explained that the problem is I needed a GPU to install the drivers and that they would charge $300-400 to fix this. They said this motherboard "won't just run on the integrated graphics card with this model of board." I explained again that my problem is not that it doesn't display anything, it's that nothing lights up on the board when I power it on. They questioned whether my PSU was functional which I explained it was since I'm using it now. The reason for my low rating is, their stated problem and solution wasn't addressing the problem I'm having. I took it back with me and started the computer with a screwdriver. The issue is the button was broken. or perhaps it was mapped to just be a restart instead of on/off. So not only did they not diagnose the issue or offer to fix the actual issue, but they set me on a false path. It runs fine on the integrated graphics. I don't know why they would say it doesn't. I would like to think it's not just a ploy to get me to spend more money as I would have gladly paid to have my actual problem addressed. EDIT: The owner contacted me and offered to fix the issue I have free of charge. I Since my computer is now fully assembled and that button is a convenience feature most useful when the computer is not in it's case, I won't take him up on his offer, but appreciate the gesture and updated my review to reflect that."
"I spilled juice on my laptop, and called early next morning to schedule an appointment. Joel was super nice and told me I am welcome to just walk in anytime. I dropped off my laptop in the afternoon and they returned it within a few hours all fixed and ready to go! They were extremely friendly and professional. This whole experience was quick and easy, and I am thankful to have found them!"
"The employees were really nice! there were a few delays getting my laptop fixed, but they still moved as quickly as possible. They sent updates frequently, which was much appreciated. I would recommend getting the membership to save some money, at the very least."
"Joel and Brandon were both very knowledgeable and skilled professionals, and quickly acquired and assembled the numerous parts to repair and rebuild my custom extreme graphics & gaming rig! They did a phenomenal job in a timely fashion! And my beast of a new build is back home and back to work!"
