"I would like to share my experience with Accountant Neil Perez and his services. I hired him as my professional accountant to assist me in filing a business LLC, for which he charged me $800 for the total services, and I made a down payment of $400. Initially, everything was going well, and he completed one task out of the five that we agreed upon. However, I later discovered a discrepancy in my business name and asked him to amend it. He agreed to do so without any additional charges. But later, he changed his mind and asked for another payment, even though he was not able to continue with the task that we agreed upon. When I told him that this was not what we agreed upon, he threatened me with a breach of contract lawsuit and told me that the down payment was non-refundable, which was never mentioned in our previous conversations over text and phone calls. I feel that this is an unfair practice and that his hostile behavior is not befitting of a professional. During my attempts to resolve the issue amicably, I asked for a full or partial refund since he did not complete the task that we agreed upon, but he refused and instead became hostile, threatening me with a lawsuit after the tax season since he is currently busy as tax preparer and will get back to see me in court. This has left me in a very difficult situation and cannot proceed on my planned business application. I feel that I have been scammed by his unprofessionalism. If I had known that this is how he would treat me, I would never have taken his services. He was my tax preparer since 2018, and I had trusted him completely, but now I feel that trust has been violated. I do not recommend his services to anyone and feel that he has taken advantage of my good intention as a law-abiding person. I hope that others will not have to go through the same experience that I did."

"In response to Nico Mayordo’s review, it is the Accountant’s (Neil Perez) mistake, therefore he should fix it. Mr. Perez threatened Nico that he will sue for breach of contract. Nico did not breach the contract he will pay the bill provided the error has been corrected. I suggest that if he, Neil Perez, refused to fix it, he can always file a complain in the Chartered Professional Accountant for his professional ethics. Before doing this Nico, give him a chance to correct this mistake. Put everything in writing."
