"After hunting for nail salons to take my little cousin to for his manicure, Honey popped up and seemed like one of the only good options in the area. I was a little nervous considering it’s a relatively new salon, but decided to give it a shot. I got a pedicure with regular polish, a manicure with no polish as I was planning on doing press-ons so I just needed the nail care, and my little cousin got a manicure with polish. The salon is nice, I like the size of it - very cozy. I was so happy when I walked in with my 13 year old cousin that no one was phased - there was even a gentleman already there getting a mani pedi. Lisa was our tech - she started my pedicure and let my cousin sit in the chair next to me and we were cracking up at him discovering it was a massage chair. I let her know this was his first manicure and she took extra good care of him. It was really chill and quiet, but no one cared when my little cousin was talking to me and asking about the process during my pedicure (it was later in the day and you’re allowed to talk of course, I just didn’t want to disturb anyone). Every tech was busy which was great but they were still all very on the ball - one was doing I believe gel-x on a client and I was so impressed with how detailed she was (I actually think I see her Google review!) and all the other techs were going over and appeared to be encouraging/praising her and it was just super nice to see. Lisa was very detailed - honestly the first time anyone has ever touched my ingrown toe nail and I didn’t see stars and feel like I was about to pass out. She took her time, but was also moving at a very normal pace (I didn’t feel like I was there forever). My manicure was also great - my nails have gotten super thin and Lisa was extra careful/attentive. I was drying my nails when Lisa started on my cousin but kept checking in and he was having a blast - he kept saying over and over how much he loved this experience! He repeated it on the way home, kept telling his mom, he told me he’s so excited to show everyone at school! It’s a little cheaper if you pay with cash which is very normal for nail salons I’ve been to lately, but what I appreciated is Lisa let me know the moment I handed her the card that even thought the total was $53, because I’m paying with card it would be $55 and asked me if that was okay. Their prices are great (some places a regular mani-pedi can be $70 which I understand, but I was so pleased with the prices here), the experience was wonderful. I told my husband I would seriously travel in from Manhattan to get my nails done here and would love to make it a frequent outing with my cousin - I loved it that much."
"I have been going to Honey Nails for a little over a year now and I’m always so happy with the outcome of my nails. All the ladies are fantastic at what they do and are always providing the best service. They’re honest about what they can and can’t do and the prices are reasonable. Lately I’ve switched over to doing dip powder and having Cici do it and I’m so in love with my most recent set! The pedicures are flawless and I enjoy adding a spa option every now and again. They even have a cute system where you get a punchcard “stamped” at each visit for a discount on your 10th one. I will recommend time after time, and will visit even when I move out of Queens to a different borough."
"Service is okay. They talk about you in your face. Lady sitting on the second chair was being very aggressive when doing my pedicure last week. When I came In yesterday they asked if I wanted a pedicure I said no she instantly turned to her coworker and started laughing. Yesterday she was purposely pressing on my finger with her bare disgusting nail. I tip very well and tried giving numerous chances because I do live fairly close, but I think I rather just take the trip somewhere else then be treated like a joke."
"Had an impulsive moment to my nails and stopped in. All the women were very nice and kind. The woman who did my nails was very skilled. She took her time to do my nails which I appreciated. I also liked that she suggested the better color combination. 10/10 would recommend!"
"As always, book an appointment or call ahead of time for walk-ins! I got a mani & pedi done while here and Susan did a fantastic job (dip powder on hands & gel for the toes). Thank you, Susan! These nails looked amazing and stayed on for a whole month (which rarely happens for me). I had 2 gems placed on my nails and they ended up falling off before 24 hours, but when I called the salon, they told me to come back & took care of it so fast and easy. Susan did a great job in shaping my nails and laying on the products (there was no lift). I would book with her again! This is a brand new shop so be patient with the ladies as they are working hard."
