"Great first apartment! Me and my boyfriend lived here for 2 years. The 2 bedroom was a perfect size for us and our 2 cats. Some of the pros: great neighborhood, great price, maitnance and management respond quick, heat and hot water included! A few cons: a small stove, limited counter space, and we didn’t have the best luck with neighbors. But overall would recommend Van Buren apartments!"

"It's a nice neighborhood. No problems with my neighbors. I found it to be super warm in the winter, even with the vents closed on the radiators. Laundry room has been closed for 6 months with no end in sight, which is why they don't get 5 stars. I had a leak in my roof which was promptly fixed. The maintenance staff seem nice, and with the office staff are pretty prompt about responding if there is a major problem. 9/10 hope to stay for another year."

"Had a significant overnight leak from my toilet bowl. My bathroom rug was soaked. In ten minutes or less after my call to maintenance. They were on it! Taken care of correctly with no more issues. Much appreciated."

"Lived there for 3 years worst place ever to live ! Drunks for maintenance people and a landlord with a terrible attitude and has no care in the world to deal with anyone. Nothing ever got fixed and you can literally hear someone sneeze beside you or down below you . The area is a nice neighborhood and the apartments are nice to a degree but I wouldn't recommend living here with terrible management ! The landlord Michelle is a very mean and nasty person who refuses to change her attitude toward anyone"

"Good luck getting in touch with the apartment manager. Even though their hours are supposed to be 8-4, the manager told me 10-12. And even then, they aren't always in! Never returns phone calls. Letters regarding security deposit never sent/received. Since I have a job, I can't drive down to talk to the manager personally. I would be hesitant to recommend this apartment otherwise. The apartments themselves are nice and a good price, so it's a shame their manager is so unavailable and brusque!"
