"DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE! The Most Awful Renting Experience Imaginable! GREEDY, LAZY, SELFISH, TERRIBLE Management/Maintenance They have available apartments for rent because so many tenants moved out because of how awful they are treated. The Apartments/ Maintenance are not worth the outrageous costs."
"When we moved in the apartment was hardly cleaned. Crayons in the air conditioner dust everywhere and a SWAMP of water under the stove unit that had molding food and other pleasantries growing in it. They also have a grandfather plan for their "high speed internet package" which is 50 mbps on a good day which Spectrum doesn't even provide any longer. Spectrum stated the package is from the mid 2000s and they've refused to upgrade. For the price you pay, you're better off living literally anywhere else. You pay a premium for the bare minimum."
"I'll preface this review by saying a lot of my issues may not bother others. This is based on my personal experience here and within Farmington. The positives. Rent is fairly cheap. At the time of writing this, I'm currently paying $835 everything included except electricity. On average, I pay under $900 a month for everything. Jesse in the Office is awesome to deal with and has genuinely tried to help as much as she can. There is a washer/dryer for use in the basement (but you need a card to use it). The negatives. Both of my cars were broken into on multiple occasions. This is not the fault of the apartments, but there are no locks on the exterior doors leading into any of the buildings leading to an unsafe environment. Further, the basement isn't locked so walking down there is always an uncomfortable feeling. The neighbors. For the first 6-7 months, everything was great. The neighbors below, to the side, and across the hall were all respectful. No loud music, everyone was friendly etc. Unfortunately, as with all apartment complexes, people come and go. We've recently had a younger guy move in down the hall who will turn his base up extremely high. While I've asked on multiple occasions for him to turn it down, inevitably, it's right back up in a day or two. At the time of this writing, it's been 2 months of this consistently. This is probably where my biggest gripe with this complex comes in. There's a clause in their lease that states "Peaceful enjoyment. You will conduct yourself and require your family, guests, and anyone you invite into the community to act in a manner that will not disturb your neighbors' peaceful enjoyment, community staff, or operation of the community...". This is an extremely subjective clause. Further, it completely contradicts the quiet hour clause (which is between 10pm and 8am). After exhausting all options and essentially begging for help from the office for the 4th time, I was told that tenants can do essentially whatever they want until 10PM and there were limited options they could pursue. They did state they would send a break of lease notice to the tenant but that didn't actually deter them. Being at my wits end, I asked, somewhat sarcastically, "Can I blow an air horn from 8am to 10 pm?" to which the reply was a "Yes..." as there was nothing they could do, short of eviction, to handle this problem. So for the last month and a half I'm forced to live here, I'll be subjected to loud bass shaking my couch, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen with basically no recourse. The weed. I'm fairly certain literally every single person in this building smokes. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's kind of gross to walk out of your apartment at 7AM for work and smell the remnants of someone's hotboxing the night before. It's literally day in and day out out too. Rent increase. If I had signed my renewal lease, my rent would have increased over $100. I've since found a place that's about $400 more then my current rent but triple the size. No longer made sense to stay here with such a steep increase. Decreased office hours Presumably due to COVID, the office hours decreased from M-F to M, W, F. Further, sometimes, you can't even get someone on the phone those days. Thankfully, I've never had to call maintenance but I can only imagine how difficult that must be. In addition to increased rent, there's also less ways to communicate with the office. Essentially, this is a get what you pay for situation. Being recently out of college and trying to find a job, I needed a low cost apartment. Unfortunately, that brings a certain living environment that is just not conducive to my lifestyle. If these things don't bother you, then you'll love it here. Me? I'm seeing if I can move into my new apartment 2 weeks early. This place stinks. In short. Low rent, loud music, unsafe environment, bad neighbors. 2/5"
"I've lived at Farmington Court Apartments for 6 years now. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere, my friendly neighbors and all that Jesse, and management does to enhance my experience here. They offer many useful amenities and are very attentive to my maintenance needs, should one arise - A refreshing change from previous residences in the area. Highly recommend."
"I've been here 1 year, I like the apartment, it's got a fair amount of space, especially since it's a studio. Maintenance comes that day when you need them. My only real complaint is the creaky floors, I can hear every step my upstairs neighbors make. I'd move here again, but I'd go to the top floor."
