"The staff at the building itself are great. Maintenance staff is also absolutely awesome. However, I cannot stress this enough, avoid Fairfield at ALL costs. It’s been a nightmare since day 1 with them, and even after moving out it continues to be an issue. They will not return your calls or emails, and will literally hang up on you if you ask too many questions or dispute anything with them. The absolute worst property management company I have ever used or worked with. I would be embarrassed to be a higher up of this company."
"If I could give it 0 stars or even negative I would. These people are absolutely nasty and rude. The price of rent literally increases every month and when you inquire why, they get an attitude and hang up on you. They are extremely hard to reach, don't return your calls or emails and they simply don't want to help. Take my advice and run away from this place. DO NOT RENT HERE!"
"We lived here for a year and moved out over a month ago, we were told we’d get our security deposit back between 14-30 days and now we are going on 40 days and they still haven’t “closed” our file, how is it ok to hold on to someone’s hard earned money like this ? We aren’t talking a little bit of money either. This is so wrong of Fairfield ! I was told by the staff there that they have so many properties and a lot of moves outs, what does that have to do with my deposit being returned ? Now I see why Fairfield has such a bad rep on Long Island , stay away from this company not worth the headache."
"This place used to be nice to live at until “Fairfield” bought it and took over. Now it is a robbery to live here. They’re increasing my already $2,600 monthly rent for 1 bed. To do a 1 month extends they’re charging an increase of 140% to that rate including a 780$ “amenity fee.” It may look like a nice place, but save yourself and do not live here. It’s ridiculous and not even close to worth it."
"My experience with the leasing office and building has been nothing but a nightmare since the start when I was sent a 50-plus page lease with blank pages and no explanation. I was told to sign it as-is or don’t move in on my move-in day. From hidden fees, to a parking lot not large enough to accommodate even the residents, to a pool that never once opened, this brand new building is a major disappointment. I have sent dozens of emails that go unanswered to the staff. I currently have 16 open maintenance requests including the doorknob falling off the front door, all of the flooring in the entire unit “bleeding” glue at the seams, broken building fire alarms, a/c duct systems that leak and sometimes pour water, no windows screens or guards, a broken hot water heater, and more. I’ve already had two under sink floods, with one being so bad and ignored for so long it ruined the adjoining cabinets and bubbled the floors. The building alarm system, that’s also broken and goes off frequently, along with not one but two sets of double entrance doors, are built into the same wall as my master bedroom with no soundproofing. When I asked about rectifying the issue I was told “you have the worst apartment in the building. Deal with it.” After sending a good faith letter for repairs, they retaliated with a 14-day demand to pay and the threat of eviction, whilst still ignoring my dozens of emails. I called the regional Greystar office and left four messages and even they won’t call me back. All that glitters is not gold - do not come here."
