"My spouse and I are eagerly expecting our first child and embarked on the exciting journey of finding the perfect venue for our upcoming baby shower. Our search led us to Harbor Isle Avalon, where we discovered their common room listed on Peerspace. Navigating through the process, we were initially perplexed by the fact that Avalon, known for charging amenity fees to its residents, was now offering their coveted amenity spaces on Peerspace for non-residents. Intrigued by the prospect, we decided to book the venue for our special occasion. As the eagerly anticipated date of our baby shower approached, we were unexpectedly hit with disappointment when we received an email from Avalon notifying us of the abrupt cancellation of our reservation. Surprisingly, no explanation or justification was provided for this unexpected turn of events. Desperate for answers, we reached out to both the community and Avalon, only to be met with a frustrating lack of clarity and an inability to rectify the situation. The absence of any plausible explanation for the cancellation left us bewildered and disappointed. Regrettably, our experience with Avalon has left us with reservations about their reliability and integrity as a company. It is disheartening to see a company take amenity spaces from residents and then lease them out, only to cancel reservations without any apparent reason. In light of our disappointing encounter, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend engaging with this seemingly untrustworthy company. Prospective client and tenants should be cautious and consider alternative options to ensure a smoother and more reliable event-planning and leasing experience."

"This place is amazing! I’ve lived in many apartment complexes on Long Island and this complex is easily the best one out there! It’s brand new and is extremely clean. The maintenance staff is absolutely amazing. Like any complex there are going to be some issues and complaints but the things people are complaining about should not deter you from living here. I’ve lived here for a year now and will be renewing for another year. Yes, there were some issues with kids trespassing but Avalon responded the very next day and got a security guard. I feel very safe here and the residents here are very kind! I highly recommend living here"

"This place has quickly become orderless. There has never been any security here as it's not gated nor staffed. This complex has become a hangout spot for high school kids and the homeless. Yolanda, Linda and Madison are simply leasing agents and focused on selling rather than maintaining the community. They are not able to enforce any of the rules around noise, smoking, or trespassing. Packages are stolen and the management is never helpful. Parking spots are not enforced. People from the neighborhood walk their dogs and don't pick up after them. Avalon is just one big corporation that doesn't care about it's residents! The management is now focused on opening their new location and this office is barely staffed 2-3 days of the week."

"Harbor Isle is an amazing development for anyone that wants to live near the water in a safe and beautiful environment. We absolutely love living in this community. The grounds and apartments are all well kept by a fantastic Maintenance Crew. Alex, Jose, and Andy from Maintenance are an absolute asset to Harbor Isle. They are always available to assist all of the residents with a smile on their face. There is no problem they can’t solve. We are so grateful for all they do for the community. Thank you Harbor Isle for hiring such an incredible team that makes our living experience so wonderful. Without question, Harbor Isle an extra special place. I highly recommend this community for anyone looking for a beautiful and peaceful living arrangement near the water."
