"Pay your rent, keep your apartment clean and you will have slim-no issues. Occasional water leak, some mold in bathroom due to old building and careless neighbors, but it gets taken care of in about 1-2 weeks. I do get roaches here and there but its because of neighbors, and food in the kitchen Lived in my building for 6 years. No problems for me. I noticed tenants who fail to pay rent, who give management problems(i.e punching the super, pissing in the lobbies, smoking weed in staircases) have the most trouble. Its unfortunate that more people who have good situations dont stand up and say something. I work two jobs and side jobs when i get the chance in order to afford rent, its a struggle but i make it work by the grace of Allah Some tenants probably owe from 3-10k in rent! then go to court and say he didnt fix my ceiling or change my lightbulb and court agrees- its a liberal state so what can you do."

"I'm rather new here so I haven't experienced the autrocities others have mentioned. My space isn't so bad, it's pretty big. Ok bathroom and plumbing could use some updating. The building is old and not everyone keeps up with cleanliness so unfortunately there are bugs (I combat that with a regular exterminator and making sure everything is clean and all food sealed). Close to the subway, grocery stores, banks, library and local restaurants in close proximity."

"Slumlord Ved Parkash buys cheap properties and does no maintenance on them til they fall apart then blames tenants. He enforces collecting the rent on hard working humble people, even sending out expensive lawyers on them. Insane he’s not in jail for fraud. In the old country (India) he’d be lynched by an angry mob for allowing rats to take over and (via a rat urine related virus) kill a tenant and make others very sick. The City has finally gone after him (thanks CouncilWoman James) so he’ll now do the bare minimum to address serious building issues affecting peoples health and safety but he’s still dragging his feet thinking it’s a joke, and avoiding immediately doing necessary repairs.Over 2,000 citations since 2015 and still has 900+ to go. Can’t believe this is legal for him to have these properties, the city MUST take them from him and similar slumlords, hit him with huge fines and that $ put into a special account for care of the buildings which a neutral guardian group can run til a proper landlord can buy it. No civil society should let people live in such squalid conditions. Raise the standard up and people want to be proud of their apts not fear living there."

"Ved Parkash owes 750 Grand Concourse at one time this building was one of best maintained building in the area until Parkash brought this building and due to the vast violations, the building is on a rent reductions with over 400 violations. The tenants of 750 have not had cooking gas since the beginning of April and the floor of our laundry room has collapsed. We collectively met with CASA and the legal system and took him to court to fix our repairs and to have the gas restored. He has until May 4 to comply with the courts stipulations or we'll be back in court....hit him where it hurts...HIS POCKETS..."

"Ved Parkash & his son Anrug are straight slumords they had me living in a mold infested apartment and had the audacity to take me to civil court when they knew the court stipulation stated they could not and attempted garnish my wages for 8k. Their properties are hazardous and the apartment also had lead based paint in it and they falsified documentation to the department of community and housing renewal stating the apartment was lead free. Such slumlords and will rob the poor to fatten their pockets. Rent at your own risk your life and health maybe at risk."
