"If I If I could give 0 starts i would. Do NOT go TO THE GLENVILLE-NY OFFICE. OR MAYBE any other H&R. They don't really pay attention on what they are doing for you. Because of the pandemic there were a lot going on regarding taxes and forms, information here and there so we decided to pay them to make our taxes. Long story short, we did not know what to bring to them regarding unemployment papers. Turns out that was a form we had to hand them over in order for us to do the unemployment taxes right. We didn't know that, the representative didn't ask, didn't lead us right, didn't do her job, and AT THE END we ended up with a huge tax to pay ONE YEAR LATER. We paid the peace of mind and now, a year later they are saying "we can't ask for all your documents so if you didn't bring the form I didn't put in the system". But we say "I had no idea this form existed and no one ever asked me or brought it up". Then again they said "you should have brought the form". And all this circus kept going over and over. If you didn't have all the needed docs, would you carry on and complete a tax session? THEIR MISTAKE was not fixed by them and this is not over yet. GiGi the MANAGER doesn't know what she is doing there basically, to do not say other words. We tried for SO LONG to explain, and nothing. It's like if she can't understand a word coming out of our mouth. Samantha the one who did our taxes was very vague about all of this, not even asking us the right questions about the unemployment, if so, none. She is very friendly and did try to help with other matters, however when it comes to having the knowledge about doing taxes, it's important to know what your client needs, and she was not well educated for this. Probably bc of a boss that didn't help her at all too. I think the bigger mistake is the higher up, bc if your employees are not doing a good job its bc you are not training them well. WE ARE FURIOUS AND WILL TAKE THE MATTER SERIOUSLY."
