Reviews of Yost & Campbell
"Ricardo is a superb professional! He deeply cares about the clients and wants to make sure that all problems he can solve, are solved. He came to our house a couple of times recently- Ricardo goes beyond one task- he changed the humidifier and also made 2 additional improvements to our heating system during his visit that he noticed. Ricardo is very knowledgeable- he clearly explains what he is doing, so that the customer can understand. Ricardo turns problems into solutions; he has many years of experience; is the ultimate professional and has positive communication style. Both we, the customers, and Yost and Campbell are lucky to have Ricardo’s help!"
"My family has used Yost and Campbell for years. They come and check on our boiler and the rest of our heating system once a year and always do a fantastic job. This year, 2023, we had Ariel come and take a look at our boiler. He was polite and checked all our rooms for us before heading down into the basement. He was thorough and did an excellent job checking on everything. Thanks for the wonderful service!"
"As a customer of Yost & Campbell's yearly maintenance contract, I can say they are always on time, well equipped and get excellent results. Their technicians are superbly trained - in one case the son of an independent boiler technician, raised in the trade! The saying goes, "You get what you pay for." The Yost annual service agreement is the best I've engaged in over 45 years of investing in small multiple dwellings. On one occasion 7 years ago, their CEO came to my building and recommended a new boiler. The installation was very fast, fairly priced and has been operating without a problem ever since."
"Y & C installed an HVAC system with split unit inverters. So far I am not impressed with the craftsmanship. Overall the installation looks unprofessional, incomplete, and unpleasant. Most downspouts are dented. It appears that the workers opened the aluminum downspouts to run the hoses and cables. It makes it impossible to keep the shape of the. Some clamps are twisted, and others are missing on a vertical drip hose. Some large holes for bolts are not drilled straight into the bricks behind the condenser. PVC pipe was not turned to hide the printed numbers. There is insufficient cleanup of the condenser, roof, window frames, and conduits, lines. All remain covered in red dust. Nothing on the outside was taped off: The White caulking is now red and can not be cleaned. Note: A broom does not pick up brick dust from concrete. A vacuum works fine but they only used theirs inside and not outdoors. Some glass windows are coated with WD-40 spray and runoff from cooling the drills goes thru the lintels. One inverter is making noise upon the first startup. They pushed the unit by hand on the bracket, but the noise is from vibration and has already returned. One problem is the inability to communicate with the install team. Instead of drilling from both sides thru the wall and starting with small holes and then larger ones, they forced their way from the inside out. It causes more pieces of bricks to break. Some larger holes show yellow contractor foam. No covers or flashing was installed around the hole. All pipes and wires under the condenser unit are visible/uncovered. The installers failed to comply with our instructions by stepping on the awning. It caused the door frame to shift. The door does not close anymore. My suggestion: Send back the work crew immediately and escalate to management. The brochures contain misleading pictures regarding the size of the inverter and condenser. Pictures indicate an elongated shape. All issues are supposed to be addressed by a project manager next Tuesday to be completed to satisfaction. Update 06/14/23: The items to be addressed were confirmed via email with the Project Coordinator ahead of the follow-up visit: 1. Replace dented and twisted downspouts/wiring covers 2. Extend the two condensation lines into the gutter 3. Cover exposed contractor foam to prevent UV light degradation 4. Replace the inverter in the 2nd-floor bedroom due to continued noise 5. Replace brown downspouts/wiring covers (under-the-awning) Today, the install team was not aware of items 3 and 4. The crew is only working on the outside. The inverter will not be replaced today. A second follow-up visit is required. Concerns: The management did not relay information properly to the crew. The company did not inform us about what tasks that will be done. Addressing the spray foam in the holes of the brick walls: Their suggestion was to cut it flush. That was supposed to be done during the initial installation when I spoke with the supervisor. The concern remains, that the foam stays exposed to the UV light and will degrade. Another suggestion by the supervisor is that they will cover the foam with a cement-based compound that can be painted to match the bricks. 2nd recall in September due to leaking drain. A hose was replaced and the downspout cover replaced."
"Enrique and the entire Yost Team, from Stephen in sales, Sabrina at the office, and Enrique with Installation was amazing and great to work with. They were able to work around some of my requirements and split the work days to accommodate some other renovations. The new water heater was installed and the plumbing improved. We also had a new Furnace, new Return vent installed, and a new nest thermostat installed very quickly. During this whole process I was kept informed and was not worried once. Thanks Yost Team!"
