Reviews of St. Mary's Playground
"Not to shab playground under the train station, there's a basketball court, a playground, mini skateboard potion, light work out zone, trash cans, I don't think they have a restroom. My kids like playing here once in a while."
"Great playground with lots of shade, sprinklers in the summer. Only knock is no bathrooms."
"This neighborhood was thirty for a skatepark for years and years when they built this park. Sadly, the delivery person drank them all on the way over. It’s like digging in the cereal box for the prize and they forgot to put one in. It’s like a burger with nothing between the buns except lettuce. It’s like when Metallica released that album Load. I always do my best not to be critical of a skatepark design and talk the good things about them, let kids find a way to skate it. It’s going to make them that much better...but that’s a stretch here. Why is there a fence ONLY around the skatepark? This area is way to small for the obstacles and there is not enough run up to use either ledge in any meaningful way. LKW’s are out in force, have to be careful you don’t catch a body. I’ve heard this skatepark stays dry during the rain, and the mini ramp is skateable, albeit with too much flat bottom. Also F&F pizza is walking distance. Basing my 3 stars on these things. But really I should give it zero stars on the strength of that fence."
"Well maintained park that feels safe. The train noises are not great but like the shade that comes with it. Like that the park layout keeps it separate for young kids and for older kids, making it safer and brings more activities for different ages. Hoping there will be expansion along Smith St."
"Lovely new playground with climbing areas for toddlers and older kids. It has several water sprays for splashing in. There are drinking water fountains but no washrooms. It can be loud when a train rumbles overhead. The best part is that it's entirely in the shade!"
