"New Scotland Tile was hired to do a new tile floor for my home kitchen ,laundry room and bathroom….that is where the nightmare started. Tiles were 12” square and this was a new tile job over a new floor. The end view of the finished product was beautiful but soon turned VERY ugly. Grout started to loosen and pop up,tiles started to rock in place….total disaster. When I called the owner he initially did not return my calls. after a half dozen calls and threatening him with legal action he called back and said he’d come over some time and LOOk at it. After more calls he did arrive and proceeded to blame the problems on everything else but the incorrect installation he was responsible for. As a “gift” to us he replaced 2 of the 15 tiles that were rocking the worst. After that he refused to return. We called other tile installer’s and had them come and give us an estimate ( 5 different ones). All of them said the same thing…faulty-poor installation…..$10,000 to $15,000 to fix it…all tile must come up, appliances removed and new tile installed….ALL OF THEM SAID THE SAME thing. Stay away from this company if you know what is good for you….he sometimes is hired as a sub-contractor so be aware."
