"We have been here for 2 years now. The place is aesthetically pleasing, but certainly has a laundry list of shortcomings including: - Complete lack of parking. As a result people have to put there cars anywhere, leaving the complex a mess of cars. Entertaining guests isn't an option due to the lack of parking. - Lack of amenities consistent with modern and similarly priced complexes. There is no fitness center, club house, pool, or even parking for that matter (see above). In an effort to squeeze as much rental income out of a lack of acreage they crammed as many buildings as possible into a small property rather than leave space for anything to improve the quality of life here. - The AC and Furnace are installed in such a way that they sound like jet engines running in your living room. Another reason it is impossible to host guests, or even watch TV for that matter. - For those that have a dog (we don't, but nextdoor friends do), there is lack of greenspace in the complex or nearby. The closest is a park about a 1/4 mile away. - Constant water intrusion from not cleaning out gutters or clearing ice damns in winter. - Unreasonable and arbitrary rent increases. They aspire to charge a premium however, again, this complex lacks very common amenities, or even basics such as parking, quality maintenance..etc, that other similarly priced complexes have. The increases also greatly outpace any COLA raises one gets through their job. No consideration is given to how well a tenant keeps up their unit. As a result, living here long term is not sustainable. While this may be common for property owners, they make it clear their ambition is to squeeze as much money out of tenants as possible while providing as little as possible. When you question the management at renewal time, rather than engage in a professional discourse, their response is "do your research." - There appears to be constant turnover with management staff and the office sits empty. They send out occasional emails in a tone that suggests they are annoyed from having to manage a residential complex."
"Very nice three bed apartment and, IMO, extremely affordable for what you're getting (apartment, garage, a few utilities included, reasonable monthly & upfront pet fee). Finishes are better than apartments/townhomes I've paid substantially more for. Maintenance has been extremely responsive to any calls & they've been timely & quite nice. Area is really quiet and neighbors are super friendly (couples, families). Lots of dogs as an FYI! Only issues would be that the AC/heat is fairly loud when running (because it's in unit), but I live alone and this doesn't phase me. I can agree with reviews that it could be a little bothersome if you frequently watch TV in the living area. Also, parking for visitors is really limited near the back buildings. I've been renting for over a decade throughout the state and I am very comfortable living here. No rental is perfect, but Crystal Creek is pretty darn nice!"
"Overpriced. You don't have to pick up your after dog because it's not enforced other than an occasional mass email bashing the entire community. Don't bring a TV because you cannot hear it with the AC or heat running. Expect zero communication from the property manager. Fully anticipate at least some portion of your security deposit being forfeited and definitely bring your own snow plow."
"The worst apartment complex( because those are not townhomes) I have lived in my entire adult life. The on-site manager is never onsite, lacks people skills and the ability to properly communicate with tenants regarding anything. My garage opener has never worked even after being reset multiple times, the plumbing system for the entire property though new is clearly unable to sustain all of these people and our utilization. The trash is disgusting not only is it almost always full, but it’s constantly overflowing and again not big enough to accommodate for the amount of people living here. The interior of my unit is completely falling apart everything from the electrical outlets which is a safety hazard the god darn ceiling- which shows how cheap and fast this property was built. It is ridiculous and don’t submit a maintenance request and think it’s going to get handled the same day you’ll definitely be waiting. I’m in the process now of seeking legal action for others things that shall remain nameless."
"Let me start off by saying that my roommates and I are college students, so we are far from picky about our living arrangements but You’d think for paying over $1700 a month for a brand new building you’d get a quality apartment, but that is far from what these are. Our windows are badly leaking with giant cracks around the framing, our bedrooms doors don’t open and close without a good bit of force, our garage door opener has broken numerous times, other tenants have cracks in their ceilings, the fire alarms go off for no reason, if your AC is on, don’t bother trying to have a conversation or watch tv because it sounds like a jet engine the cupboards are crooked, painting was clearly rushed, lights flicker constantly, the plowing is awful and they don’t salt any of the sidewalks (or give tenants salt after promising it). There’s also only two dumpsters for the entire complex of upwards of 80 units, but yell at tenants when they’re over flowing. My dog was attacked TWICE by other dogs in the complex, and another neighbors were as well. They did nothing about it and did not remove those dogs, but thank goodness they sent a letter out about yellow snow… There’s no parking whatsoever and the lot can barely fit one car through at a time. Oh and if you drive anything bigger than a small sedan, don’t count on it fitting in your garage. Your heat bill will sky rocket from the insane drafts coming through the doors. This complex was clearly very poorly designed and even more poorly built. Don’t waste your money here."
