"Unfortunately it seems the only reviews people leave are the negative ones. I just wanted to come on and say that although our time is ending at Tocco, I have had a great experience. The office staff has been very accommodating with all our needs. An overall satisfying experience."
"My experience with Tocco Villaggo’s apartment complex in Cicero, NY warrants a warning to the New York State Attorney General office & New York State Health Department. The unlawful withholding of security deposits from several tenants through the last 5 years shows a pattern of consistent actions. The complaints reported by tenants has been familiar in context-“UNKNOWN BLACK MARKS ON WALLS (corners).” This issue (health concern) not only has not been addressed by the Alberici Property management but it has become a way the Alberici Properties have unlawfully taken security deposits for there own profit… Attached below you will can see time stamped images of “MOLD”within windows at Tocco Villaggio Apartment."
"I would give 0 stars if I could. I rented here for 3 years and always paid my rent on time and kept my apartment clean. I was always quiet and never caused any issues. When moving out, I requested to do a walk through with someone because I had been told from numerous people that Tocco Villaggio steals security deposits. I moved out of town for school and offered several dates that I could be back in town to do a walk through. Tocco Villaggio refused any of those dates, but happily took my keys on the same date I had requested to do the walk through. They sent me a letter with items that needed to be completed prior to moving out, which I brought with me when my boyfriend and I cleaned the apartment. The entire place was cleaned and spotless when I left, and I took pictures and videos before leaving because I knew they are known for making up reasons to withhold security deposit money. Sure enough, I received only a small amount of my money back. I was charged for an ice tray that I left in the freezer, just as instructed on the letter I was given. I was charged over $500 for "black substance on walls" which my walls were cleaned and spotless. After reading other comments it seems this is routine of them. I was charged for "dirty countertops" yet the counters were bleached on two separate occasions before I left. I was charged for things that are routine maintenance (cleaning, painting) when a tenant moves out, and charged approximately $700 at that. I'm a very clean and honest person, a graduate student, and I work in healthcare. It really disgusts me to know I was taken advantage of and rented from people who are dishonest."
"Before I recently moved out I did not have many complaints about Tocco Villaggio Apartments. I lived in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment for almost five years. I was absolutely dumbfounded when I received my security deposit back after moving out and seeing all the comments. The comments made me think they went into the wrong apartment. When moving out they sent out a laundry list of things you needed to do. One thing was to use the self-cleaning option on the oven and to not use a chemical cleaner. A few days before I moved I cleaned the oven as they directed me to do so. Everyone who knows me knows I rarely cook. I barely ever used the oven but obviously had the normal “wear and tear” if that. They marked that the oven was “filthy” because of the ashes. They also worded the oven drawer to be “filthy” although I had never opened the bottom drawer of the oven, truly never opened it. They also charged me $525 to re-paint the walls. You mean to tell me they weren’t going to be re-painted after someone living in this apartment for almost five years? The comment said there was a “black substance” on all the walls, which of course there was not. For anyone who knows me knows I am an organized, clean, put-together person. The fact that I have never had a complaint in the five years I lived there, paid my monthly rent early, and was quiet and kept to myself should be enough reason to respect their tenant. When I first moved in in 2016 the monthly rent was $1,100. Before I left the rent was up to $1,300. Each time I renewed my lease the monthly rent increased and nothing more was being done to the apartment premises. Myself and the rest of the residents in Tocco Villaggio were promised a swimming pool, a workout room, and outside common areas throughout the years. When I moved out, none of these things existed even after multiple people complained. The week before I moved out I was cleaning nonstop (even though my apartment was honestly spotless). Since I am a registered nurse I work twelve hour shifts and couldn’t help clean the day after I moved out. My family had gone to my apartment again and made sure everything was cleaned and left in perfect condition. I was appalled when they called my apartment filthy and I remain extremely angry. This is not only untrue but it disrespects me as a person and a loyal tenant. I have heard and read about this family (Alberici’s) being money hungry and not caring about their tenants and I now see this through and through. This company is only out to help themselves and looks for more reasons to get more money. I will forever discourage people from renting or using any of this families facilities due to their uncompassionate mannerisms and disrespect for their tenants."
"Ignore the fake reviews along the lines of "These apartments are new, well lit, secure, very spacious and maintain a warm, comfortable, and homey feel." Really, guys?... Decent place, but I'd rather not know every time my upstairs neighbor has a visit to the restroom, closes a cabinet or enters their apartment. I feel like I'm back in my dorms from college! There's been an awaited office/community building half constructed all summer long and untouched since May. Now it seems construction has resumed, but fall (and winter) is fast approaching so it looks like yet another year of absolutely NO amenities, sorry kiddos! Notice how I don't have concrete details on the construction? We aren't updated, at all, about any of the progress with the amenities that have been promised for years. Wait another year or so if you're debating on paying $990 a month to rent an apartment here. I'd at least find a place with some sort of surveillance..."
