Reviews of Kim's Glam Nail Spa
"Roza at Kim Spa is the absolute best for manicure/ pedicure! She does waxing too and this place offers amazing facials and microblading. I’ll keep coming back."
"the staff are nice but the service is terrible. i got a powder manicure but nails weren’t buffed properly (polish was lumpy), nail chipped easily the following day, cuticles were destroyed from pulling and cutting them so now i have scabs. nails were not filed evenly either. my nails never looked worse :/"
"I wanted to give this nail salon a second chance but my cuticles and fingers are in actual pain as I write this review. 1. Receptionist is extremely unhelpful. 2. They are so quick to say no to any request, even if you offer to pay for it. (I asked for my nails to be a specific thickness) 3. The technician filed mk skin more than my nails. 4. I woke up with a swollen finger because the technician kept cutting me and all others sore and hurting. There are so many other options in the near area, I would just find another place."
"I have been getting my nails done for well over 14 years. This was by far my worst experience. The hospitality and cleanliness of the shop must be mentioned, but that is of little importance when discussing the work done. This shop seems to do gel polish and manicures well. Although they say that they do acrylic, DO NOT go here for acrylic services. I have provided a very detailed account of my experience. I currently have MY nails wrapped with acrylic. I explained that 2 of my nails broke and would need to be repaired. Rather than pay the repair price for each nail, the receptionist suggested getting a new start. This means I would soak the acrylic off of all of my nails and reapply. She directed me to a nail tech and told me to explain what she had just suggested. I did, however given the length of MY nails the tech assumed that they were tips. She immediately began cutting my wrapped nails off with a traditional nail clipper (the wrong tool for acrylic). She started with my broken nails so i believed that this had to be done given where the acrylic cracked. However, she proceeded to cut other nails the same way. When I pulled my hand back it was too late. She cut my nails down ALL THE WAY TO THE SKIN OF MY FINGER, even nicking the skin on my left pointer finger. The nails were so short the length would later be manipulated with the acrylic. There was no regard for precision as she kept explaining, "new tip." Meaning, even though she cut my nails so horribly, the new tips that she would do would cover the mess. As her colleague saw what was happening, I was told to switch seats. The new tech was no better. She painfully filed my skin while filing my nails which left a blood clot under the skin. Her reply was that she had to get to the nail. When I was done the end result mirrored my experience, a disaster. There was acrylic all over the skin surrounding my nails which the nail tech picked off with her own nail. There was nail polish on my skin, and my nails were a messy shape and texture. Why did I stay seated? 1. I did not want to cause a scene given the air of the shop and 2. I believed that the 2nd tech was left with such a horrible foundation that it had to get worse before it got better. The pictures provided are after I got home and cleaned the Polish from my skin, in an attempt to convince myself that my nails didn't look that bad. The Leopard printed design depict the length of MY nails when I entered the shop, prior to the growth that led to a "filling." This is how they looked when I got them done prior to this experience. THE LEOPARD SET WAS NOT DONE BY KIM'S SHOP."
