"I usually never write negative reviews but I had a really bad experience. At first it was very nice. The salon was pretty, clean and affordable. I was doing a mani-pedi, but after the pedicure, the man doing my nails asked me to pay before doing the manicure. I got my money from the atm but when I came back I asked him why he asked that because I've never been asked that before. I didn't have a rude tone or anything, it was a genuine question. But the vibe completely shifted. I already crossed a line? Then I payed for it, and he said "20% tip is preferred", the service wasn't even done yet! I only had $3 in my purse leftover so I nervously handed it over. This pissed him off. Even my friend next to me felt the vibe of the man, and all the women around just completely change. I felt so uncomfortable for the rest of the appointment and I feel weird even seeing the polish on my nails now. I wanted to have a nice experience, I usually can't afford to do this kind of stuff but I just feel like I wasted my money and am still uncomfortable the day after. The price of the service should be what the service provider believes it's worth! Tip is extra and at the discretion of the customer. Expecting it and then getting upset and rude when not getting it, just ruins the experience for the customer. I wouldn't come back again."

"Loved this place!! Staff are super friendly and kind - we were able to get a same day appointment but the place definitely filled up super fast in the afternoon. This is my gel manicure over a week after and it’s still perfect"

"I decided to try this place because it was close where I was running some errands. My experience was overall good, I didn’t receive any hostility from the workers. Hei (hope I spelled that right) was very kind and did a good job, he cut my cuticle a little too far and I started to bleed a little but I wasn’t upset about it, he was very kind and gentle besides that. I love the finished product, I got gel French mani and after a few days, still looks great and fresh. When I tipped, he looked at me as if confused on why I gave him the amount I gave him but he wasn’t rude at any point, I increased the amount of the tip because overall the service was good and I got what I wanted on my nails."

"Does this look like a good manicure to you? I’ve been coming here regularly for the past two years, and have never experienced worse service and demeanor from any of the staff like today. Not only did my nail technician do a poor job on my nails, she also demanded that I give her a higher tip. You just lost a loyal customer and all the people she’s referred."

"Pretty good, I really would appreciate if the polish lasted longer given the price of the service. Not to mention the fact that there is almost always an instance where a customer is being scolded for the amount of the tip being left. I have witnessed this more than one occasion where a patron is being chastised if the tip isn't sufficient. What a pity!! My daughters almost always want to get their nails polished but due to the short length of time the polish lasts we bypass. It's so close and convenient but I'd rather go where we are appreciated and the job matches the price. Back to 116th and lexington for us!!"
