"This place used to be the best in Port Washington, but something has changed. The past three times I've had my nails done there, the quality is not good. My gel top coat always peels within two weeks, my powder nails chip and crack, and the coats of paint are streaky. They used to never hurt my cuticle now they always do. I noticed they have some new staff there. Sad :("
"This is my go to nail salon and I usually am satisfied with their work. However, there is this one specific lady (possibly the owner of the place) who worked very roughly on my nails + she was rushing all though it wasn't even that busy inside. I asked for a simple design but she still rushed it and began doing my nails without even prepping my nails first (cutting my cuticles). She also hurt my finger and didn't take her time and effort to do my nails. If I'm going to pay you money AND tip you, I expect you to be respectful regardless of my age. Next time I come here I will make sure to ask for anyone else besides that lady."
"Every time I went, I got my nails done by a different nail technician and it always came out perfect. You can show them a photo of what nail design you want and they can replicate the craziest of designs. After trying out all the nail salons in town, they are honestly the best that I had to leave a review."
"Evian nails is very impersonal and low quality. It has a sweatshop feel where their employees barely speak English, barely interact with you or make eye contact, and look very unhappy overall. It lacks warmth and the friendly ambiance you’d like to find at your local nail salon. Most concerning is that yesterday I had a manicure with a very inexperienced young lady and she cut me on my finger with the sharp cuticle cutters. It was very painful, still is painful the next day, and bled a lot. She offered a very cold and quick apology with little remorse, and charged me in full. I will never go back here again. Shame on them for charging a premium for their poor quality services. I have heard of others who got cuts here and/or infections as well. Lala nails, and a few other places in town are much cleaner and provide more experienced service."
"I normally do not write reviews however my experience and post appointment with Evian was absolutely terrible that I couldn’t ignore it. I went to Evian without an appointment and I was told it would be a 10 min wait. Within 10 mins I had my old powder removed with acetone. However I then sat with my nails in acetone for nearly an hour, I was continuously told that since other customers had appointment they would be first even if they came in after. Normally I would understand this but it was the fact that my fingers and skin were being actively damaged through the extremely long and almost dangerous time covered in acetone that I was extremely angry. Had I known that I would be damaging my nails and skin like this, I would have never gone in. I completely understand the need to put customers with appointment before those with a walk in. However causing damage to one’s skin is not okay. My skin was so dried up that even the nail technician asked what happened to them to which I awkwardly responded to my nails being in acetone for over an hour. The nail technician was extremely kind but several hours after leaving my appointment I noticed a hair was stuck in the now dried powder of the nail. However it only gets worse, two days later I went on vacation and my nail broke in half. I have been on vacation with powder before and I have had powder on my nails countless of times, I never once had my nail break TWO days after them being done. I could not even request to get them fixed as I was no where near the salon. Almost a week after my appointment, my other nail broke as well. I am simply unable to recommend this salon to others and warn any possible customers to STAY AWAY."
