"Captree State Park Beach dazzles with its scenic boardwalk, where seagulls soar and ducks glide across tranquil waters, creating a picturesque setting for leisurely strolls and nature watching. It's an idyllic haven for those seeking a peaceful beach day amidst the beauty of wildlife and waterfront views."
"Great state park for fishing. Only thing is I wish they will fix the fishing pier lights on the other pier so there two piers with lights. For night fishing."
"Captree is the place to be to grab a fishing charter, party boats leave daily usually twice a day. On Sunday mornings you can find me there at dawn for our weekly Cars and Coffee get together. Classic cars, hot rods and some rare stockers meet up and share our passion for all autos past and present. Come join us, weather permitting year round."
"I loved it! MY FRIEND SUE and I were invited to see the Jones Beach fireworks on the 4th by her friend who is a first mate on 3 ships! She brought her family, and the nautical scenery was so beautiful, and cooling. The staff and passengers were very friendly and polite! It was a very memorable day and night for all of us!"
"Another park with a good view of the sunset. There is a scenic outlook here that gives a good view of the fire island inlet. That parking lot is the right place to view the fire island lighthouse. Park is free to visit during the off-season, and I feel the best time to visit is winter spring and fall. I have seen people fly kites while park in nearly empty during the winter."
