"I was visiting friends and it was okay."
"Awful. Worst place ever. Don't go here. Management is horrible. And the place has bed bugs my boyfriend and I have bites all over our bodies it's disgusting! I would go somewhere else cause this place ain't worth it. Was advertised on Craigslist as a studio apartment with a full kitchen and me not knowing what the place was exactly I believed it but when I got there it was clearly nothing but a hotel room definitely was not no studio apartment as advertised..."
"I like to stay here when going to concerts at cmac. Staff has been good. Average place; location is best and prices are reasonable. They park on property for concerts at cmac (could be a good thing or a bad thing) I like the "party" before shows. All in all, I've been happy with this place and always return. Online reservations would make it easier."
"Their website allows you to book an overnight reservation but when my friend arrived the office was closed and there was a sign on the door stating that between the months of September and May there are no overnight rentals and when he called about this they did nothing to accommodate him leaving him virtually homeless for the night"
"Sad, but... this was a horrible motel for us and here is why. We found this motel on google and the photos looked good. We called and was greeted by "The Finger Lakes Lodge" over the phone. We booked a room for 6/6/2015. When we drove to the motel, we immediately recognized it from the online photos. Acceptable. When we checked in we were told that we had to drive several blocks and several turns to a different location called Cedar Lodge. We asked why we were booked somewhere else and told "No reason." I asked if we could change and was given an odd look, but told we could if we wanted to. We should mention that there was not one car in this motel parking lot by the office and it was 2:30 pm. I asked if the rooms are as nice and told yes. Trying to be agreeable, we decided to stay with the assigned room. We then drove to the other location and the first thing we noticed was the sign offering Student Housing and no office. We had to carry our suitcases across the unpaved loose stone common areas to our room. Upon entering, we felt the darkness and immediately noticed a very strong, sweet odor. We opened the only window for an hour, but the odor remained just as strong. In hindsight we hope the smell was not from insecticide and that we were not exposed to something terrible. The smell was very strong. The layout of the room was odd. There was a four legged shelf unit with two shelves and cutouts in the back for electric cords. Unuseable for us, maybe a student could use it for books, etc. The small TV was in a far opposite corner from the bed, at the ceiling. The TV was so small, maybe 20 inches. We could not read the writing on the news channels. And we had to keep our heads turned far left to watch. Our bathroom had a 32 inch square shower ! No bathtub for $115. a night. We are both slender so luckily we were able to take showers. The linoleum floor had a corner at the shower that was curled up at least an inch, making it an unclean-able, unsanitary area. So we went out to dinner and returned. Wow.... We now find, upon returning, a man charging $10 for parking spaces in our parking lot! He is selling parking spots to concert goers right next door at the Constellation Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center. We found the last three parking spaces at the far end of an adjacent stone parking lot. Now we had to walk farther across this stone lot with strangers (concert goers). We now were left wondering about the security of our automobile. And also our personal security. These concert goers had nothing to do with this motel and were unknown to the motel. Inside our room I now realized that the door did not have a secondary inside lock for additional security. And the only lock was a keyed lock. The keys can be copied or stolen. Not the modern electronic keys that can be changed for each new customer. I travelled for a company for 30 years. One of the hotel contract requirements was a secondary lock inside the room and accessible only from inside the room. If this lock was found to be missing, we were to tell the front desk that a new room was necessary. Period. So now I am in a room without a secondary security lock in a building with concert goers every where, no fences and no motel personnel in sight for security. Wow. We will add that our second income is from student housing and this housing would not be acceptable to us. Not for young students. Not nice enough and not secure enough. You decide."
