Reviews of Hunt Woods Park
"Illegal to have dogs off leash, ride bikes on- or off-trail. Plenty of poison ivy and alien invasive plants. Lots of tripping hazards. Losing its charms due to overuse. Yellowjackets have stung at least six people in Summer 2023, some multiple times, two people needed medical attention. Bring your epipen or equivalent or, at least, antihistamines."
"Love this little treat right down the street from my home. Really lovely to walk back there with my fur child. Most dogs are off leashes which is fine with me as I’m trying to train my dog off leash also."
"I no longer walk myself or my dog here due to MANY dogs off- leash. I have a small dog who is always leashed; if a large dog off-leash approaches my dog it could easily become a disaster very quickly. I don’t enjoy having to say to dog owners “there is a leash law.” People are very inconsiderate in every realm of society today including wooded walking trails. There is no enforcement of the leash law, its is a social courtesy in todays world (NOT)."
"It's a little hidden gem of a trail that I'm afraid I may lose out on, from increased public use, as I've seen the recent increase in use but, nonetheless a beautifully convenient place to walk, run or just take a dollop of nature in and disconnect from whatever may be of stress."
"This is a very good place to ride your bicycle, walk your dog and hike . It is a creek and there is a nice stream that runs through. Watch out for the rocks there is a lot and insects like mosquitoes especially during the spring because it rains a lot."
