Reviews of Sleightsburgh Park
"They have a boat launch, and it’s a good spot to go fishing"
"There’s nothing here but a boat launch and a buggy straight line path that goes nowhere. I don’t know why they would even call this a park."
"Not the prettiest boat ramp, but interesting nonetheless. The view across the river (this day) included some old boats and barges. There is also a "Cruise Ship in dock for restoration. It's not so much a destination, as it is a decent place to stop driving, rest, and look at water."
"This quiet little park has a nice view of the Roundout creek. There are a couple of benches and a few picnic tables on a concrete pier that are perfect for a picnic or watching the boats go by. Look to your left and you’ll see downtown kingston, then look to your right and you’ll just see the Hudson River. There’s a boat ramp and a canoe/kayak launch. There isn’t a lot of parking, but I’ve never seen it busy. The access road is narrow and a little bumpy, take your time and know that once you make it through the reeds the park will be there. There is a trail that leads out towards the Hudson River. I’ve haven’t hiked it yet, but I’ve hear you should plan your adventure around low tide."
"Nice park, nice boat ramp for boats up to 23 feet. ** Gate closes at 9pm, if you're not there at 9, car/truck/trailor will get towed **"
