Walkway Over the Hudson

"It's a nice place to walk, chill, and take pictures. There's a pizza place at the end of the bridge for food. There's also parking available for like $7 if I remember correctly."

"We stopped at the Walkway Over the Hudson on our way to Vermont, and it was so worth it! With wonderful views as far as your eyes can see, it is a pleasant and long (it is the longest elevated pedestrian bridge in the world) walk across the bridge. It does get windy and cold on top of the bridge! Parking: We had trouble finding a good parking spot, so either search for the walkway over Hudson parking on Google maps or there is paid parking available at the mid-Hudson discovery museum. The elevator to the top of the bridge is a short walk from the museum parking lot. Clean restrooms are available at the point where the bridge begins. There was also a food truck selling some tidbits close to this point. Overall, we enjoyed our experience on the walkway and exploring the surrounding areas."

"Walkway is wonderful but the real star is the waterfront view when you take the elevator down. The only con is that they should keep the elevator running as long as the walkway is open (the elevator closes at 4 and the walkway closes at 6), we had quite the journey to get back to the walkway because we got there later in the day and could not take the elevator back up. Great accessible hike for those who have any physical limitations when it comes to other hikes. They have some snack and coffee stalls and bathrooms. Nice way to spend an afternoon and see some fall foliage."

"Walkway Over the Hudson is a must see and do if you’re in the area. Our family had a lovely walk with the dog in tow. There was SO many different activities we watched people doing. There was walkers, runners, bike riding and rollerblading. Just an absolute blast was had by all. There are very clean public restrooms and water fountains available. Parking is limited, so be prepared for a small walk to/from your car. 10 out of 10 on the tourist spot to visit."
