Reviews of Boulder Point Campground
"I came here with a group of 4 and we had an awesome experience! Quiet, pretty scenery, and great facilities. They were also very accommodating when we asked for a different site on arrival. Also a nice camping option for climbing at the Gunks, if the AAC campground is full or you want more of a rustic experience. It's about 20-25 minutes from the West Trapps."
"We have a wonderful time this weekend there with 16 family members. The Tentrr was wonderful! We were well taken care of by Joy, the caretaker who made everything perfect. Our only complaint would be that we were awakened at 7:05 AM Saturday morning by the sounds of heavy construction equipment at the back of the property… otherwise it was perfect. A great private campground experience that we will go back to…we could even bring our puppy! Thanks Alex, Rich and Joy for a great family campground!"
"Terrible management. I reserved 2 camp sites and when I got there both had been given away. I don’t know how often this happens but both parties were told to choose whatever site they wanted. The person in charge called one of the people whose tent was on our site and handed me the phone to speak with them. After speaking to them we were able to get 1 of our sites back. The process took about 45 minutes and we didn’t receive any form of compensation. Camp ground 7 is fairly secluded and was great for our group of 10. The store and facilities are far better than a typical campground."
"Really enjoyed my stay here with a group of 7 people. Kayla (sorry if spelling is not correct) at the front desk was really lovely and helpful! There is a small campstore with firewood, fire starter, coffee, snacks, etc. A few single person public bathrooms w/shower for the campground. Bathrooms were new and clean. The campsites were different sizes, so its best to call and ask which might be best to accommodate your group...ie I don't think our three tents would have fit on one of the smaller sites. Each site has a small grill, picnic table, firepit and two chairs. It was really pleasant that the campground wasn't crowded. It's the priciest campground I've ever been to, but I made the choice to stay here because the public campgrounds nearby had poor reviews. We were all happy with our choice and enjoyed the stay! Thank you!"
"We Camped at Boulder Point during Memorial Day Weekend. We were a large group escaping the NYC quarantine and we really had a fantastic time. Really close to the city, which made it really easy to get to and at the same time, far away from it all. The woods and open areas are really beautiful. There are no RVs, which makes the night really quiet (no lights, no motor noise). Friendly and chilled campground staff and dogs, who stopped by (maybe a tad too often, especially the dogs) and asked if you needed anything. It was very easy to communicate with the owner. Close to very nice hikes and with a very convenient ice machine! There were comfy tables and chairs at each site. We are already planning our next visit!"
