"They arrived when they said they would and quoted us a good price. The painters were professional, neat and did great work. They left the house clean everyday. We would highly recommend them!"
"First approach was great, and I thought that I would be in good hands with this company. Wrong. We are so disappointed with them. Paint job is not great. They had to come back and fix it and it is still not to my satisfaction. They sent 1 person to our house, for that it took forever, on top of that they painted the windows shut! Communication was bad once I signed the contract. No help in choosing colors or any guidance. In fact, I felt like I am annoying to them. The owner is not pleasant (first I thought he is) and has not replied to us directly. We wanted to meet with him but he has not even answered back on this. He sent his general manager only. Their lack of calculation and knowledge has lead into not a great job (old stained wood painted over). I do not recommend them and I will not have them do any other job in the house. Plus his worker left the garbage laying around all over the yard, hidden of course. I was the one cleaning off. To teach and train employees can be of benefit for everyone. But it just has to go fast, fast and they did not care about us as a customer. We are very disappointed with them. Never again. This is my response to company's answer below: it has nothing to do with the color: Your paint job is absolutely terrible!! Your general manager just wanted to finish quickly without making the customer happy. You simply cannot spray paint over old wood - you have to work it in. You should have done a third coat but you refused. You made me so mad! July 2023: Update on their paint job: Paint is already peeling away and flaking off due to the bad job they did."
"What you see is not necessarily what you get. The mentioned putting in a drip edge to prevent leaking by a window where they were painting. I hired them to paint specifically for this reason. But when they did the job, they would not do it. They originally put it in as carpentry work where I pay materials plus $50/hour, for a total cost of about $300 for 2 windows. I also agreed to pay for materials (paint, etc.). But they did not let me purchase them and instead charged me about double the cost. I insisted on paying for the actual materials and they submitted a bill issued several days after the job was done, probably for a different amount than they were charged. When I later insisted upon getting the drip edge done, they decided to charge about $700 for the job they originally said they would do for about $300. Other firms agreed to charge 1/3 to 1/2 for this same job. I give 2 stars because the painter they gave us did good quality work. It wasn't the job we originally contracted for or the same terms, but at least the work was good quality. Now I get to see if they actually honor their warranty going forward...I will update this if they correct any of the above mentioned issues. Replying to Marty's comments below: Your recent quote was $590 + $100 for materials. That was an increase from the original quote of $50/hour for estimated 2-4 hours plus perhaps $100 for materials. If you recall, I asked you to do the work on the original job and your firm decided not to, despite that work being the primary reason we hired you. I do understand you are a painting company, but on the original quote, it was your idea to do the drip edge, not mine. So apparently you have the capacity. I did a quick check with a couple of other companies, both of which quoted around $300 plus materials. That was for just this small job. You quoted me this work for part of a much larger job. Now you are trying to renegotiate the terms of the original work you refused to do on a large job and charge more than most people do for a small job. These are simply the facts..."
"Service Unlimited just finished staining and painting the exterior siding and trim of my house. I am very much satisfied with the quality of the finished product. I found the painters who worked on the house to be very professional and hard working. They were considerate of the surrounding property and cleaned up after the days work. They were responsive to the couple of requests I had and when you couple that with a reasonable price I consider that a job well done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to paint or stain your home."
"I do not like to post negative reviews, so I have kept this one for over a year. The biggest disappointment I had at the time was the carelessness of the work done. My hedges and other items around the house were not covered, even after I asked the painter to do so. The result was paint on several areas surrounding the house. Still, I chose not to complain or spread a negative word. However, the bigger concern to date is that the paint is already chipping, and the job was done a little over a year ago. This is very disappointing. I am on a budget and wanted to hire professionals to paint my house. I expected that it would look great for years to come. Sadly, this is not the case. I posted a review on Home Advisor. Marty responded to my review, but he clearly did not take a close look at the house or he would have seen the chipped paint that I see every day. The attached pictures are from today. He also posted my home address, which I believe a business should keep private. Still, since he did post it, I hope that people come and take a close look at my house before hiring this company. Marty has acted very unprofessionally and I would not recommend this company."
