"Sandy beach, clean looking swimming water! Clean and multiple picnic table close to the shore. They have an all terrain wheelchair available to borrow. The State Park part has trails you can follow, clean and user friendly!"

"June 10 2023 Enjoyed meeting the volunteer ranger at the beach building with the interactive presentation to teach children about nature. Tasty buffalo chicken empanadas at the beach concession. Quiet scenic trails to walk."

"CAMPGROUND REVIEW: the sites vary in size and privacy, but overall plenty of room and trees. If it rains, your site will be a muddy mess for there is insufficient stone and gravel on most sites. The roads in the campground loops are full of cracked asphalt and quite narrow in certain spots. The showers are below average and the stalls narrow with no place to put your belongings. The bathrooms have been renovated and are adequate. If you need to be in Rome, this campground will suit your needs. However. If you are seeking an above-average camping experience at a NY State Campground, go elsewhere in the area as there are better choices nearby."

"Luckily we were able to check the place and see our sites before booking. It was very beautiful and clean (even the bath and showers were nice). We were lucky to get a site directly on the water... it poured just about the whole time... yet was amazing. Our dog loved it down by the water. The neighbors dogs barked all night... but that's just part of the camping experience."
