Reviews of Baruch Performing Arts Center
"I got an opportunity to participate in a Nuclear Energy Symposium that was held for the United Nations General Assembly Science Summit. The Symposium used this theatre hall, as well as the mezzanine outside for food and networking. The facility was very nice and has the capacity to fit large amounts of people. A few improvements would be to add charging ports to the Chairs (due to convienince) as well as more lights in the mezzazine area in case people are interested in networking. I believe we had a very positive experience at this location!"
"This small theater is beautifully constructed with outstanding acoustics. Google map directions were not accurate for days the Baruch College itself is closed; access to the Performing Arts Center is via the open courtyard on the street directly behind and parallel to the building entrance as the main entrance is locked."
"Saw a great show here, the theatre seats were just padded folding chairs on some kind of tiered platform. The theater space isn’t the attraction here it’s the art that is preformed here."
"It's in the sub-basement and it's pretty cool place. Saw a play from the CUNY CAT youth theater, "Blood." You sit on regular padded folding chairs and there are stairs to get to the higher levels, but it's a small theater. I can't tell if it's handicap accessible. If not, the stairs would be a problem."
"Nice place to go watch a basketball game. Security heavily enforced separating the college dorm/student activity areas from the outsiders who come to watch a good game of NCAA basketball. Large facility signs point out where to go if you look for them and nice size basketball court."
