"We use to walk out here and swim off the lighthouse. It was a right of passage."
"Can be seen from the Fort or Breitbeck Park"
"I got a boat ride to the pier from the marina, I believe it should have cost 30dollars but as we went on the Smithsoneon weekend we managed to get a free trip. You take a boat ride out they leave to there to explore, while they go back get other people and they pick you up when the other people arrive, you have to do a bit of climbing up steep steps if you want to get to the very top so you need to be able bodied really to go inside the light house, not really recommending but I belive you can walk from the shore across the sea break wall if you really wanted to whether they would let you into it when you got there is unknown."
"Beautiful historic lighthouse...iconic in all its preserved beauty."
"What an amazing feat it is to get out to the lighthouse. It's a legitimate hike to make it right out to it but so worth the effort. Wear good hiking shoes of you're going to make the trek."
