"The grassy field is nice, the views on the water are great, but there is SO MUCH TRASH by (and in) the water. Seriously, is the city responsible for taking care of this park? The sign says that its creation was a joint project between state and local government (possibly federal, too?), but it has not been cared for. As fabulous as a place that it COULD and should be, I couldn't take my kids there, I'd be too worried about them hurting themselves on broken glass. Personally, I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself there either, because it is just so filthy. I don't just mean a little litter here and there that a troop of Girl Scouts could clean up. I mean this has been seriously neglected for a long time and the accumulation of refuse is ridiculous and sad."
