Maverick Concert Hall
About the Business
Maverick Concert Hall, located at 120 Maverick Road in Woodstock, New York, is the oldest ongoing summer chamber music festival in the U.S. For over 100 years, the institution has attracted world-class musicians to perform a variety of music genres including classical, jazz, contemporary, folk, and world music. Maverick Family Saturdays offer free music events for the whole family to enjoy.
The centerpiece of the summer is the Maverick Chamber Music Festival, a beloved tradition that has been going strong since 1916. These intimate concerts bring together renowned musicians in a beautiful natural setting, creating a unique and communal experience for all attendees. The music transcends time, connecting past generations with future ones.
Maverick Concerts also hosts special events like the Transformations series, which celebrates East Asian-American creators and the music of France. The 2024 season will feature performances that highlight the influence of East Asian culture on French music, as well as the work of contemporary East Asian-American composers.
The concert hall itself is a historic building constructed in 1916 by Hervey White, a utopian writer and philosopher. The wooden structure and luminous acoustics provide the perfect environment for live chamber music performances. Visitors can also admire the iconic Maverick Horse sculpture carved by artist John Flannagan in 1924.
In addition to music, Maverick Concerts offers food for purchase at Saturday and Sunday concerts, provided by the renowned Phoenicia Diner. Beer, wine, and cocktails are also available for attendees to enjoy. For more information about upcoming events and ticketing, contact Maverick Concerts at info@maverickconcerts.org or 845-684-5527.

Reviews
"100 year old barn, great sound, crickets behind you. A wonderful place to experience live music."
"Really nice old time performance space, mostly classical with some jazz and other types of music. Indoor and outdoor seating in seasonal space with food and drink concession that is small but good. Dinner and drinks available but open only for events so check the schedule."
"This is a gem of a concert hall in Woodstock. A variety of music can be heard between Memorial Day and Labor Day on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Tickets are very reasonable. Come join us for the season or individual shows."
"This is a beautiful space with excellent acoustics for acoustic instruments and a lovely staff. I really enjoyed my time performing here."
"I showed up too late to see the concert, but the venue is gorgeous and the staff were incredibly friendly! It's a nice place to walk around if anything!"
