Lakeview Wildlife Management Area - South Sandy Creek Car Top Boat Launch

"Nice launch for kayak, canoe or paddle boat. It has a large porta potty if you need to go and plenty of room to park your car. Recommend to wear water shoes when you launch, the crushed stone is painful on bare feet. After launch relax and enjoy the view paddling down the creek. Be aware that some spots on the creek are very shallow and rocky."

"I stopped to check it out because I'm looking for more places to launch my paddleboard that don't have a strong current. This looks like an excellent place and I see others go kayaking here often. I will definitely be returning with my board to launch and check it out from on the water!"

"Kayak, canoe, or paddle board. This leads out to the big lake with a beach outlet. We bring our lunch and snacks eat and go swimming then come back. It’s normally pretty quiet picks up a little later when people get out of work."

"Terrific place to launch and a great river to go kayaking on. The walking trail was very nice as well with plenty of shade to make the walk enjoyable. The trail had several nice views of the river as it made a meandering pathway. They have a nice history placard about a battle that happened near there during the war of 1812 as well."
