"These guys take a lot of the stress out of moving from the start! They say you get what you pay for and with this company that holds true! The Manager came to give a quote and was so professional and kind, letting me know when he was 10 minutes out so I wouldn’t have to leave work for a “window” of when they may show up. Same for pick up. The gents arrived on time for my pick up, were very professional, put mats down to protect my floors and were very efficient! My belongings arrived as promised two days later and at the time they told me. They took good care in wrapping everything in blankets and plastic wrap to ensure nothing would break! "I had a move with Schaap last month from New York to Virginia. I booked them as they were local movers and reviews looked good. On the day of moving, the movers came after 1pm inspite of me being told that they would come in the morning. They were able to pack and load everything in less than a couple of hours. Throughout the moving process, Glen or Schaap office never answered or returned any of my calls, my only point of contact was Jackie who was in sales and had helped me with a quote. He was responsive to my messages or calls. I received my stuff four days late with the TV table cabinet door broken. Later I got an email with invoice saying that an amount was due, even though I did the full payment on date of moving. I lost so much time back and forth with the customer service due to this. The only thing I was happy about is getting all my stuff back (even though not on time)."

"Schaap saved the day! My movers cancelled the day before my move. I called about 30 places before I called Schaap and none were able to help. When I called Schaap, Jackie answered the phone and was super nice. He assured me he would do everything he could to find me movers for the next day. Within minutes he was able to confirm they’d take the job and sent me over a contract with a very reasonable price. The three movers who came the next day(Frank, Tim, and...ack, sorry I can’t remember the third guy’s name!) worked incredibly hard, were really professional and friendly, and got the job done extremely efficiently. This was a big move—3 bedrooms, a garage, and basement—and they really pulled it out on a day that was humid and then even rained!
