Also, thank you so much for the “contactless” service implemented during covid-19, even though I miss browsing the bottles inside the store, it makes me feel safer knowing that there are not strangers touching stuff all around the store!"

One of the proprietors, Gianluca Rottura, is a gentleman with encyclopedic knowledge of gastronomy and wine. He is also one of New York's last real characters so worth a visit for a chat. "I have lived in the area for 6+ years and up until now I would recommend this store. It had been a few months since my last visit so I asked the male cashier what was their card minimum. I was then asked where I lived, if I was “in the neighborhood” and I felt immediately uncomfortable as a single woman, this should not factor into your credit card limit. Long story short they have a 2 bottle card minimum, you’re better off going a few blocks up or downtown. Honestly will not be going back :/"
