Reviews of Desire K&B Design
"Worked with Bobby on two kitchens last year. Both came out great! Get endless compliments.we copied the showroom island. We think the bookshelf is a unique look and couldn't be happier. Price and service were great as well. Already have 4 more for this year."
"This company has 2 locations, one at Delong St. by Home Depot and the other one is on College Point closer to the Botanical Garden. I've called and verified that they use the same group of people for delivery and installation services. I purchased kitchen floor tiles from the Delong St. location from Rita. I wasn't 100% satisfied but it wasn't a major issue so I didn't bother writing a review. Without going into details, let's just say I felt that the quality of the tiles I received was not worth the price I paid. In other words, I feel that their store is overpriced. However, I later purchased my countertop from their second location at College Point near the Botanical Garden and also recommended them to a close friend. The friend purchased a very expensive Sile stone for their kitchen countertop and several smaller cheaper pieces for window siles and bathrooms. The countertop and at least 3-4 of the window pieces came with the wrong measurement. The countertop also had a small chip. The installer came up with creative ways to "fix" the situation but not without obvious signs of imperfection. After negotiation, they agreed to a $200 compensation. That is nothing compared to how much they've spent at their store. Sharon, the salesperson I originally recommended, posed a very strong and negative attitude with my friend even though the store is at fault. Their argument was I sold it to you at dirt cheap price, therefore if there are any imperfections just deal with it. We already came up with ways to make the stones fit and gave you a $200 refund, what more do you want. The exchange of conversation, I heard, was also unpleasant. At one point, Sharon insisted that she was doing us a favor by doing business with my friend because I recommended them. Seriously?! Upon hearing this, I immediately text Sharon to voice my disappointment and dissatisfaction. Her response was who am I to get involved like she has no obligation to answer to me. Well, my parents purchased countertop from them, I purchased and pointed my friend to their direction. After all these businesses, do I not have a right to complain?! Prior to all of this, she was gentle, courteous, and soft-spoken. I am exasperated at such switch of attitude after she gets your business. I promised to write a fair review so here's my personal experience. I purchased kitchen countertop with waterfall installation from Sharon. My countertop also came not according to the right measurement and had a big gap on the side that touches the wall. I was also very upset but Sharon had a polite attitude at the time, promised a $100 discount, and the installer closed the gap to the best of his ability. Therefore, I let it go and recommended her to my friend based on the fact that she was nice and courteous. I am shocked to find out that this was all just a facade to get your business. If you do take a chance and purchase from them, you better pray there are no major problems and expect at least some problems. Once problems occur, there's no reasoning with them. There's no such thing as customer service with these people. They just want your money. Finally, I want to mention that the installers came later than their appointment time and told us that the reason they got delayed was that the previous customer had a problem and was difficult to resolve. I feel obligated to write this review to show how often these people make mistakes, they will not take full responsibility for their mistakes, and they will give you an attitude while denying their fault. They will promise you that their installer has years of experience and is highly skilled. Even if it is true (which I don't know you decide), it takes a team of people to get the job done and they mess up pretty often."
"We just completed our kitchen renovation, we love everything we brought - from the cabinets to counter top. Jason worked very closely with us and our contractor on every step to make sure the design and installation matched exactly what we wanted. The result was just that - perfectly done!!! It was a such pleasure working with Jason- professional , great client services and friendly. Thank you so much!! Nancy and Daniele"
"I have worked with Jason and the Desire k&b design team and can report excellent service & knowledge from the selection process to installation. For a full design shop to be experts in everything, that is unique and a wonderful secure feeling for both the designer & the clients. Don't miss shopping for your dream kitchen and bath at this gem of a store! 5 stars every time."
"Their prices are marked up a lot more than other competitors, probably due to their display room. Their installer is reckless and unprofessional. The installer did a sloppy job and ruined the surface of the counter. The counter also came chipped. I didn't notice until I paid in full. They couldnt fix it and only offered to give me back $200 on a $4000+ install. It was a good thing we bought Cambria product. We got them involved and they dealt with the store for us. The store stalled for a long time. It took them THREE months to replace the counter since the first install. From the first day of the incident til the end, not even one person apologized. Not their boss, the installer or the sales rep. Obviously I would not come back here or to their main store ever again."
