"love the place for cooked food section... I visit NYC have to stop by here to buy their beef noodles and fried rice, sticky rice and roast pork lunch box... not just for the surprising fair price but the amazing taste food!!! Beef noodle seem dried without soup but once I got back home, just add a bit water and dumped whole box of beef and noodle in to reheat....! my goodness, the best beef noodle soup I haven't had for a long long time!!! though the beef is tough so i steamed it before dumping into the soup pot, all good except the container was leaking, all soup got on both myself and the cashier!!! still will go back to buy more next time i go to NYC! Everything is so good especially the roast pork rice and now beef noodle is my new fav!"
"The pork ribs are not fresh at all. Strong bad smell and I have to throw it away. Do not buy cooked food here especially the ones that with strong flavors- it’s easy to hide food quality issue."
"The 5 star rating is purely for the bakery here. They have the best roast pork pie - good amount of filling, fairly good taste and the *best* flakey pie crust. Every time I get this, it matches my best childhood memories of eating this stuff. Every time I’m in Chinatown, I buy a pack. The egg tarts are pretty good too; try to go around lunch time when they are fresh out of the oven. Don’t go too late (5pm?), they run out. Also, the prepared food counter has some $4 dishes - filling and healthy. My father swears by the steamed chicken. The roast pork with crispy skin was disappointing - the crispy skin was non existent."
"What an amazing place. You can get meat, fish, groceries and there's a food hall where they sell soups and congee. There's also an awesome bakery with traditional hong kong pastries that I haven't seen in years."
"Deluxe Food Market is a large bazaar of cooked foods and grocery items in Chinatown. there are a lot of vendors serving up bbq meats, various savory dishes over rice, and so much more. this place is crowded and is fairly narrow given the throngs of people flowing through. the front area has mostly cooked foods. the back lower area seems to have grocery items likes vegetables, butchered meats and more. the space is pretty worn-in but kept relatively clean given the foot traffic. wanted some light snacks, so i got some pan-fried pancakes and roasted pork rice noodle rolls. basically you select at the foods that you want and the stand packages it up and you pay at cashier located centrally in the front area. everything is packaged up neatly. the rice rolls were $3 and two pan-fried pancakes were $3. both hit the spot as i wanted some comfort food with flavor and i was not disappointed. you can definitely come here and get a full meal or family style meal to-go as most cooked items are sold by weight. definitely will come back to try some more eats as there’s so much to pick and choose from. the staff is pretty curt and works fast bc it is so busy."
