Allegria Hotel

"We stayed at Allegria Hotel this pass MLK weekend. My husband booked the room because of the view for our early Valentine getaway. But when we got there, we we're welcomed with scaffoldings and construction nets! It was very disappointing. The room look good, I love the layout but the furniture and cabinet need some upgrading. Sofa was dirty where I wish I brought some blankets to cover them. We didn't complain because we didn't want to waste time since our time was limited and didn't want to spoil our getaway. I still like the location and how convenient it is. I would still book this hotel I just really wish they made upgrades since they are so pricey!!!"

"The hotel is located in a beautiful place, with the beach right next to it. But the nightmare started when we checked in. To celebrate New Year's Eve, we paid double as much as usual to book this hotel, but when checking in, they replaced our booked ocean view room with a city view room. Also the hotel's exterior was undergoing repairs and the entire hotel was covered in a large black cloth (although this was not explained on their website). They only agreed to refund us $16 as compensation for the price difference, but this is a completely different experience for us. The hotel rooms are also very bad, the white towels are not white, but yellow with disgusting yellow stains on them. The most terrifying thing is that there are no switches or handles on the windows of our room, which causes the windows to open by itself when the wind blows, and it opens without warning on a cold winter morning. This causes us to wake up in the cold the next day, and both my girlfriend and I have a severe cold. However, the front desk staff told me that all they could do was compensate with a $20 restaurant coupon and a cup of hot tea, which was just ridiculous. In summary, although this hotel is in a beautiful place, there is nothing beautiful about this hotel. Poor hygiene conditions, unreasonable staff and poor compensation policies, everything is just bad and disappointing!"

"Very nice. Room 604 had an outlet that was loose and my wife can feel the zap of stray electricity. I took her word for it.. I would and will be definitely staying here again. It's a beautiful building, staff is great, location is really nice at the boardwalk and listening to the waves come in. Prices were fair. We will try the restaurant next time. We only had time for one night."

"Dysfunctional management. It's a shame because the property itself is nice. A broken AC unit, leak in the room and fire alarm going off at 4am had us reach out to management. I left 2 messages for a manager, no return call. Called back again and got a supervisor on the phone, he said he would look into it and call me back, he never did. I called him again, and he said he was still looking into it, no return call. Two weeks later I tried again and told 2 different front desk operators about my experience. No return call. I've never seen anything like this still operating. Meanwhile the restaurant served ridiculously old potatoes for breakfast, completely disgusting. An odd place and a shame because the building has a nice renovation. Hope the owners hire better management soon if they want to stay in business."

"My room was updated, clean, and very comfortable for my three night stay. I had a room with a view of the ocean which was lovely to wake up to and the sunsets were stunning. The food available on-site at the restaurant / banquet meeting was great. Plus, there are so many great options within walking distance! The staff at the Front Desk was friendly and check in was easy. Thank you!"
