"New guys every month working there. Don’t know the prices. Bro tried charging me 10 for the lamb platter w onions. Been going there for 2 years. Never been charged that. Tried saying it’s extra for onions. Since when bro? Mark it on your sign because the prices didn’t change on there. The amount of money I’ve spent in that store is crazy. They need to shape up. Got me really tight. Ended up paying 9.30, never paid that before neither but not gonna argue anymore. Platter super light too… not much rice… probably wont be eating that there again. Not to mention their dollar snacks now 2 dollars and some change. Buggin… picture attached hadn’t had a bite yet yall skimping. And bro was low key making fun of me sayings “the hot sauce real spicy” won’t even put much hot sauce on there."
"This time i am writing a bad review because the cashier charge me 1.50 for a can of coors light even the other places charge only 1.25 and i ask for a pack of newport short and said it cost 18 eitherother places charge only 11 i feel being rip-off for the prices and if keep going like this well i will look for another store to do my business"
"Posting anonymously from my meme page google account since I go there 3 to 4 times a week. They have gotten new register workers and the ones prior were significantly better. I am also very kind to the workers. Ask how their day is going, make additional friendly small talk. The new nighttime register guy sucks respectfully. Depending on what women look like he will treat them significantly better or worse. On the days I look great he smiles, asks how I’m doing, extra napkins, silverware for the food, have a good night, etc. On days where I look not so well (I wasn’t feeling well today) he treated me bad. I ordered a literal salad, paid prior to getting the salad while checking out with my other items which had no more room in the bag for the salad. He gave me no bag, no silverware, no napkins. Just slid the salad across the counter while he was helping another customer. Store wasn’t even busy. Walked all the way home holding a salad container. Also he literally knows none of the prices of the items he is checking out, he always has to ask the other worker. Pretty sure he charged 2 dollars for a 99 cent item but they don’t give receipts. I have also seen him accuse black people of stealing items that they literally came in with. One instance, a large bag of pet food they do not sell. Having a whole altercation where a guy has to find his Foodtown receipt. The accused individual saying just look at the cameras. I didn’t steal anything. Luckily he found the receipt or who knows what could have happened. Very sad and uncomfortable. The daytime register guy is better but he will let new male customers jump in front of the female customers who should be served first when all he has to do is give the food (they already paid for) to them. The people who make the food are always kind and considerate. Delicious food. Great location in proximity to the subway. Always stocked, many options including hygiene, house products, phone chargers, over the counter medicines. Love this place a lot but women deserve better than to be provided customer service based on their looks. I will keep going out of convenience but dang man."
"The open hours are wrong. And this has happened on multiple occasions and on different days. It says 6:30am today and it’s 7:50am and they JUST raised the gate. Usually well stocked. It’s a decent store considering the limited selection you have in this area."
"I just had a terribly unfortunate experience here. I was on the subway when I really needed to use the restroom, so I ran out of the station. This was the first place I saw, so I went in and quite literally begged to use the bathroom. I'm from a small rural town down south and I'm new to the city. I'm still learning, and I know that restrooms aren't really that accessible in NY, but it genuinely would not have hurt anyone to let me use it. I was met with "no" and "ask him" by two different people. I didn't have time to figure it out or find another place. I was looking at one of the workers in the eyes, pleading with him when I just started to, you know. So here I am, a young woman, peeing myself in front of all these men. I was the only woman in the store. It was probably caught on camera, too. Now I have to worry about some creep getting off on it. I hope you can imagine how messed up that can feel. I was having a really nice day, too, and I felt pretty. Not anymore, though. It was a thirty-minute subway ride home, and I sobbed when I got back. Neither of these two men could find it within themselves to be a good person. Honestly, I don't really care about bathroom policies. I think that if a woman had been behind the counter, she would have understood and helped me. Instead, it was two jerks that I encountered. I hope they both soon experience something equally as unfortunate and embarrassing as this was for me."
