Brookfield Farm B&B

"Had a great weekend here - beautiful property and accommodations. Hosts were welcoming and thoughtful in the details. Breakfast foods were delish. We thought the bed was incredibly comfy, and it was fun waking up to see cows and chickens. Aside from a microwave (which we don't use/own) you can't cook or heat anything up, so plan accordingly. We packed picnic foods and enjoyed multiple meals on the back balcony. The area is gorgeous with lots of fun outdoor access and college town charm/shopping/strolling. Eating out is expensive, as it is most places. We rented bikes for the rail trail - also pricy but had a great time! We usually hike which is always superb. Entire trip was a treat."

"As others have written, this B&B is far above others. We had our own apartment, complete with a balcony, with everything we could ever want furnished and available. The setting is serene and yet reasonably close to many destinations. The rooms were spotless, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Highly recommended."

"We had a lovely stay at Brookfield Farm! Caroline was very communicative and was great at providing recommendations for things to do in the area, as well as local restaurants. She filled our fridge with lots of goodies for breakfast, the banana bread was definitely a highlight. The room was very well appointed and the bed and couch were incredibly comfortable. We also loved having a chance to walk around the farm and meet the cows and chickens. The highland cows were great! We got a lot of great pictures of them. We will stay here again the next time we are taking a hiking trip to the Shawangunk area!"

"My husband and I just spent a long weekend at this hidden gem of a B&B and stayed in the Highlander Suite. The suite was immaculate, tastefully decorated and fabulously private. The fridge was stocked with farm fresh eggs, milk, baked goods and more. We were so impressed with the thoughtfulness of our hosts and the care they put into creating a warm, cozy and elegant retreat. A spacious private deck off the bedroom (with a king sized bed that is so comfortable - just where did those sheets come from?!) provided us with bird's eye view of their chicken coop (not just your ordinary chickens, either) and from the front windows we gazed out upon the pasture and ... Scottish Highland cattle! Ulysses and Cara are just adorable and Caroline gave us treats to feed them! We took advantage of the pool (large and clean), the beautiful sitting area on its deck which is under grape vines, the winding trail that leads down to a pond with another sitting area and enjoyed the peaceful, serene beauty of the property. Absolutely divine. Caroline and Michael Murphy are the perfect hosts and we look forward to returning many more times!"

"The Highland Suite was absolutely lovely. I have stayed at a lot of B&B's, and this was one of my favorites. The accommodations were spotless, spacious and comfortable. The delicious breakfast was left in our room for us to enjoy any time we wanted. Just a short drive to New Paltz and their rates were very reasonable for such wonderful accommodations. And the cows were an extra special treat. I have already recommended Brookfield B&B to friends that are looking for a private retreat."
