"I'm so excited, I just got a seasonal campsite here. Thank you to the owners for going above and beyond. I will admit, I camped here years ago and it was awful. So unsafe. Over the summer my family and friends booked sites together and had the best time. Bathrooms were clean, the kids activities were great and they had bands on Saturday nights at the bar and restaurant. The pool was very clean and brand new. We can't wait to set our new site up."
"After driving for hours, we found this camp site, or should I say more seasonal camping. When you have a long day and you're tired, you want to have a shower and relax. We were told after checking in that there was a bar and restaurant on site. Well, on Saturday, they had a band playing until late hours and after you had drunk people talking, screaming until 3:00 am with no respect for others. Most camp grounds have a inforced quiet time. Not here. If you want to catch up with your sleep before you hit the road, find another spot."
"So this was booked about 2 weeks before our stay close to home so that we could be available to help relatives, if needed, with preparations for an upcoming family event. Positive, close to home, fairly easy booking process although it ended up being a third party vendor (Camp Spot), new pool, new playground where the transient campers are docked. Yes, that is where my positives end. We arrived on Wednesday evening around 7:30 pm, to no one at the shack to let us in. Used the call button and was told that I was arriving the next day. Stated that I had pre-paid for Wednesday to Saturday at Site --. Was told someone would be up in a moment. In the meantime I am blocking one of two lanes in. An error had gotten made, and my site was given to someone else. We can be on a 30 or 50 amp hook-up so we were given a 30 amp site that we could stay on our entire visit. Visitors were charged $6 a person to come up after 6pm for dinner (at our camper, not the on-site restaurant, found that out Thursday when family came up for dinner), the bathrooms seemed to be always in need of attention. Here is the fun. Friday afternoon my 16 yr old comes to me that our power kicked off. She checks the breaker box, all is good there. I go over and check our Surge protector at the post. We are not getting enough volts, so our Surge protector is tripping (aka: doing its job). I pull up my email for my husband to call the main office. This is problem from the Utility company when they fill up (this is the Friday going into 4th of July weekend, and what is the hottest day of our stay), we can REMOVE our surge protector to run our unit and be "fine." I have one AC unit for my camper which is why I can be on a 30 or 50. We went the night without AC because I refuse to run without the Surge protector. While I have acquaintances with seasonal sites there, my husband could commute to/from work, it was fairly inexpensive, is rumored to be under new ownership and management, we won't be back."
"Some of this places rules are unrealistic and ridiculous. This place is very much about who you know and are tight with. They allow their child to break all the rules and display rude and ignorant behavior mind you they want all others to follow rules unless they’re buddies. The customer service was and is absolutely horrible. Checked it out this year to maybe be a permanent seasonal camper but I can assure you we WILL NOT BE BACK.. Just to add also..the gentleman that is an owner was decent and somewhat friendly however his wife needs to learn communication skills. I am a business owner myself and I have never seen such horrific communication skills. PUBLIC RELATIONS AND DECENT COMMUNICATION DOESNT EXIST HERE!! Added 7/10/23 After leaving the same two reviews for this place in less than 24 hours we received an email this morning stating we were essentially thrown out and have 30 days to collect our things and remove our camper. What a joke…these people are unreal..crooks and thieves..such a sad story…"
"Our first time here! After hearing all the negative comments we wondered what we had gotten into. Those with negative facility comments need to go back and check out again. I’ve seen old pictures before upgrades and am quite impressed the improvements they’ve done to clean this place up and make it a family friendly Camping experience. Unfortunately we were not able to spend a weekend to get the full experience but will try again in the future. While we were away visiting friends an awful wind picked up and was blowing our awning around. The owner went the extra step of trying to contact us to let us know although he couldn’t make contact with us. They even tried opening our camper door to secure our awning but we had it locked. A little extra effort like this goes a long way. As for charging visitors a fee, my understanding is it’s more of a mandate than just one campground. Bottom line, new owners trying to right a sinking ship…give them some time…it looks to me like they’re constantly working on upgrades. While we were there this week he was having new gravel delivered and spread in the camp roads. Thank you!"
